Beware of Kristen Adkins from Texas!!
Kristen contacted me on 3/23/20 in response to my post seeking a puppy transporter. She offered to transport a puppy for us from Pennsylvania to Wyoming. She required $150 deposit at booking and the balance upon delivery. It was agreed that she would pick up in pa on Saturday/Sunday, March 28/29. I didn’t hear from Kristen on Saturday, so Sunday I contacted her at 8am for her eta. She didn’t reply back until 12:30pm saying she was still 4 1/2 hours north of me in Pa. she would message me when she was an hour away.
At 8pm I still had not heard from her. After reaching out to her again she said she had to get a room and would pick up in the morning by 10am. Monday morning at 10am she had still not arrived nor contacted me. I reached out to her asking for an update. No response. I contacted her several more times before she finally contacted me back at 5pm and told me she could no longer make the transport. For some strange reason she had to travel out of pa and then travel back into pa where she was stopped at a non essential travel check point and was told she could not travel. Hmm that’s strange because there were no check points in pa. and no reason for her to even leave pa before picking up our puppy.
Things weren’t adding up. I noticed she had told someone else on the fb transport group on Sunday that she would be in Louisiana on Monday at noon. How could she be in Pennsylvania at 10 but Louisiana at noon. Again things weren’t adding up. I asked her for a refund of the deposit as she had not picked up when we agreed upon and she could no longer transport our puppy. We scrambled to find another transporter and with much luck we caught one passing through who traveled from further east passing through all of Pennsylvania with no travel issues.
Kristen still refuses to refund my deposit saying it’s not her fault the government won’t let her transport. It’s not my fault she wasn’t capable of holding up her end while other transporters aren’t having any problems passing through the same states she would. Additionally she had not shown up to transport the puppy in Louisiana either. That’s not my puppy so I’m not sure if she ended up fixing that issue or not but she refuses to refund my deposit even though she didn’t show up, she didn’t call, she did nothing but give more excuses and lies.
DO NOT USE her to transport your pets. If she decides that she can’t make it to you she will just keep your money and leave you with nothing. If this is how she treats a client that had already paid for her services that were never provided I can only imagine how she would treat your pet during the transport. She obviously has no concern for anyone but herself.

I’m in Scranton, PA and recently purchased a puppy located in Paradise, TX. She was hired and paid to transport my pup and 2 of his littermates to their new homes (the other pups were going to MO & MI). She was supposed to pick up 4/8/20. No call, no show.
When someone finally got a hold of her she said there was a delay that she’d pick them up 4/9/20. Again, no call, no show, not returning any calls or messages. She took the money and ran. The two other families were able to make other arrangements. Unfortunately, as of this moment , I have not been able to. Pup still in TX. DO NOT HIRE THIS WOMAN!!
