I dont know what they were smoking when they thought it would be ok to send an extra person in the exam room to stare at you and type. They need to knock it off especially since a man was in the room chuckling at my medical issues.
I dont know what they think they're doing but I hope they realize tour exam rooms are too small for that nonsense in the first place I the second place they are not 6 ft apart. In the 3rd place its disrespectful humiliating dehumanizing and all needs are not addressed when being gawked at by a 19 year old tech.

You could have refused to have a trainee/nurse/tech etc. in the room with you and your doctor. Did you? Doesn't sound like it. Sounds instead like you just sat there like a potato seething while feeling "dehumanized" and then rushed home to write this report. If you aren't going to stand up for yourself while in the examination room, why should anyone take you seriously afterwards? And please don't write back saying "they told me it was required," because other than in the title of your post- backed up by nothing in the post itself- you don't claim this, and it wouldn't be true if you did. You sound like you either have a jelly spine or decided later that you were outraged by something that is actually very, very commonplace.
