Complaint Review: Nathan Mubasher - Corona CA

I find it necessary to leave this negative review after the horrific experience with Nathan Mubasher causing me to sue him. My lawsuit against Nathan Mubasher is public record with Riverside court. Case number RIC1723893. This attorney took 30,000 from me and did nothing honest for it. Throughout his representation of me, he caused me severe emotional, financial harm and sabotaged my case (s), on purpose (Couldn’t be by accident!) of course, Nathan Mubasher will deny all this and use his authority as an attorney, officer of the court, his education, to portray a different scenario, but God knows the truth despite Nathan Mubasher clearly not caring about his soul as he has a license to protect, more clients to target, and decide which ones to harm, which ones to provide service to.

Nathan knew I was married, under psychiatrict therapy, as he handled several cases, 16 months in, he expressed his romantic feelings for me during a phone call which began with him letting me know he received my 5,000 retainer fee, called my marriage a failure and that I would be better off with him. Now let me make this clear, Nathan knew that I have PTSD, am a survivor of sexual abuse (by an elementary school teacher as an 8-year-old and non-related adults as a tween) I was in a non-intimate marriage (couldn’t be intimate due to the previous trauma as a child, I hoped I would one fine day) social anxiety, etc. AND NATHAN MUBASHER STILL EXPRESSED ROMANTIC FEELINGS during this call.

Nathan convinced me that he would be better equipped to be in my life, because he provided care for his sick parents that he lives with, knew what to do because he has medical/ mental health knowledge and expressed situations in which he came up with alternatives for my issues, he told me that I was a burden to my husband, and that he was more astute and better equipped than my husband, concerning my care. I certainly never thought I would be right for Nathan given my 5th grade education level, and I told him all the reasons why I wouldn’t be a suitable romantic interest, like he didn’t already know, duh! but Nathan fought for me in this phone call and I believed Nathan Mubasher and agreed.

But no sooner that I agreed to his romantic proposal that’s when the head games began. In the beginning, I’d do my best in writing him my new feelings being in love with him, because that’s what he told me he wanted from me, but Nathan Mubasher would then email me, telling me to write to another email address he’d set up for me, to keep business and personal separate because I would write a small written token of affection when I answered his emails. If I left him a voice mail telling him I loved him, he emailed me saying that I shouldn’t do that, on phone calls however, it was a different story, he would love bomb me with words… all this was confusing for me.

Nathan not being a doctor decided to diagnose me with an arrange of mental health issues that weren’t part of my anatomy, from transference, limerence, all the way to Asperger’s…even more confusing. It didn’t line up with what was happening. I often told Nathan he was confusing me, only for him to confuse me even more. When I told him that I didn’t want to be romantically involved with him anymore, he would flip out over the phone, accuse me of never loving him to begin with, and threaten to end representation and that I would be screwed over.

His words not mine. So not only did I have to deal with my underlying issues, the cases he was “handling” but now I’m having to deal with Nathan Mubasher as well and his manipulative behaviors. He caused me to entertain suicide because the mental abuse he was putting me through was that bad. I was his controlled little puppet. I wanted out.

Long story short, after I asked him questions about my cases, that’s when Nathan began accusing me again of having transference, this, that and the other, and said that he can’t be my attorney anymore because of it, which caused me even greater confusion, he decided that after I had paid him a total of 30,000 within a period of about a year (He came up- with various reasons for me to enter into other contracts and pay him money, even to go after those who sexually abused me as a child!)  He said he can no longer be my attorney, he ended all representation. 30,000 down the drain!

But! AFTER "Terminating me" Nathan Offered me ANOTHER CONTRACT! If I sign another contract where I would pay him 12,000 in a lump sum, he can be my “trusted ear”, and I told him no for obvious reasons, and that was that. I certainly NOLONGER loved Nathan anymore after all that bull. I went on with life confused, but wondering what had just happened in a period of a year after he proposed romance!

I kept what Nathan did to me for that entire time a secret, at his request, but I finally broken down to my therapist various months after Nathan Mubasher terminated me, when my therapist asked about my cases and I broke down in tears, sobbing and told on Nathan Mubasher finally telling my therapist everything I had gone through with Nathan. My therapist called Nathan a “sick puppy” and to report him immediately to the state bar and to sue him, so I did.

Along the way, as it’s not been easy, However, I filed my lawsuit in pro per Dec. 2017, My trial is this November and through the years I found out that I wasn’t his only victim. There were two before me, and another one after, but I wonder how many others are out there. But I did find out the following, Nathan Mubasher has a trend. When he targets you, he gathers A LOT of information about you, grooming you along the way, seems innocent enough, it seems like he cares about you, he’ll ask you about your hobbies, fears, life, etc.

You tell him…then Nathan Mubasher inspires a romance, but this can go both ways, either the female client bites, hook, line and sinker (as in my case) or in another situation that I am aware of, the female client doesn’t because she’s not interested. But either way, you lose. (Nathan already has determined whether or not he’s going to provide you with genuine services vs the appearance of service only to abuse you and take your money.)

Nathan begins to email/ text you stuff that has nothing to do with what’s really happening. And it’s confusing. At the same time, Nathan is calling you and saying something totally different. More confusing.

I deposed a female former client of his, who had a bad experience with Nathan Mubasher, this woman wasn’t represented well by Nathan Mubasher either, she said Nathan Mubasher was sexually inappropriate with her also during representation. She wasn’t interested in him.  She let the issue go along with the bad representation. A few years after, out of the blue Nathan Mubasher began sending her friend requests etc. via social media and again, she expressed no interest, told him to stop, but he continued. She wrote an online review immediately about it also describing what Nathan Mubasher did during his representation of her, that she later took down, and testified that after she posted it, Nathan Mubasher intimidated and threatened her with breaking attorney client privilege and with suing her for defamation of character.

During the depo, Nathan Mubasher’s attorney (Rick Wirick) out of the blue sends over exhibits to me via email with HER PERSONAL ISSUES, EMAILS, TEXT MESSAGES that were between her and Nathan during representation. BREAKING THE ATTORNEY CLIENT PRIVILEDGE. (Under no circumstance is an attorney to disclose representation material to anyone!) I certainly didn’t have to know anything about it. It’s none of my business. My only concern was the review and how his unprofessional, harrasing behaviors led to it. However, Nathan Mubasher’s attorney took my 20-minute deposition (I was done in 20) and dragged it out for an extra hour questioning her about private, protected material.

It was clear that a letter that was disclosed illegally in this depo was framed to make her look bad, why? It was extremely lengthy, created this story that didn’t make any sense, blaming her for various things, and why he was ending representation. All this woman wanted was for him to do his job and the only obvious reason he terminated the representation was because she wanted him to do his job, as there was a text message string Nathan Mubasher provided illegally where the language was clear that she wanted him to fulfill his job duties.

None of his responses made sense and there were a lot of missing messages in between her text messages where his messages are missing. The context just didn’t make any sense with so much missing. However, her wanting him to do his job, when one can only imagine there never was the intention of Nathan Mubasher doing his job, caused him to fabricate a story, fabricating excuses as to why he was providing this termination letter.

He did the same to me and one other person as in the style on how he frames the situation at the end to make it your fault when clearly his inappropriate behaviors are the reason, but after he completely messes up/ he’s done with exploiting you/ taking your money/ no intention of doing his job he will fabricate this entire story against you to terminate services…. and to also save his license and his skin should you dare sue him or file a CAL BAR complaint.

On Dec 2017 I left my anonymous one-star review on Avvo. CAN YOU BELIEVE NATHAN EMAILED ME THE NEXT EVENING ASKING ME IF I HAD WRITTEN IT! HIS EMAIL SUBJECT LINE STATED “URGENT” I didn’t respond to his email. About a week after, Nathan filed a FALSE POLICE REPORT about 9 hours after he was served via professional process server my lawsuit for malpractice that morning! I had not communicated with Nathan Mubasher in any way for approx. 6 months when he called the police with false allegations of harassment, death threats, etc. because he was sued! Officer Fien from Corona PD called my two phone lines asking me to call him back and when I did, Officer Fien proceeded to yell at me that I was going to be arrested and prosecuted over lies Nathan said to him.

Nathan is extremely dangerous because he uses his lisence as an attorney to harm women who are otherwise vulnerable and under his care of representation. I certainly don't think that any attorney should ever coerce a vulnerable client into a romantic relationship.

No sooner that I deposed his previous client who was intimidated by him, did I see that it didn't just start and end with clients who showed interest back at him romantically, but even ones who didn't. He simply doesn't care, either way, he will hurt you, such as my case, where I accepted his romantic proposal vs the client that didn't.

He has been sued once before I sued him, and I have already been in communications with three women that have been harmed by him. I'll be adding more content to this, and photos to identify him in the near future.

I've found out the following through a deposition about Nathan-

Nathan had a name change back in June 0f 2010 which is public record. From Karam Mustafa El-Mubasher to what he uses now.

Nathan had a DUI/ with a 36 month probation in 2005 which is public record under his former name.

Nathan harrased a former female client on Social media in 2016 and was sexually innapropriate with her several years earlier under his representation and was rejected both ocassions, ultimately not representing her well during her legal matter and threw her under the bus.

Nathan became intimate with a female client under his representation in mid 2018 (After I sued him for exploiting me emotionally and financially end of 2017) She reached out to me in 2019 and expressed how he had seduced her, became intimate with her, then dumped her romantically suddenly, after getting her a bad deal in an eviction matter which had her facing homelessness.

So these two former clients were before and after me. I wonder how many more female clients have endured abuse under his representation? I know I can't be the only one as I have been in communications with 3 others, two of which experienced abuse in an innapropriate nature with him and the third one was Nathan changing the contract without her consent, comitting fraud.
