Booked hotel for March 13 and 14, 2023. Turns out those were the wrong days and that I needed to book for March 14 to 16. Called hotel and Booking.com to reschedule and was told that I would lose $ 816 even though the hotel had availability for the correct dates, which were only a day later. Complete ripoff.

Pardon my language, but why in the h*** did you use one of these third party schlock operations to do what YOU could do yourself??? Their MO is to look for or create some complication to STEAL your money. They use the EXCUSE that you agreed to a no refund policy. This is how this TRASH, and that's ALL of these third party reservation places make money...by WITHOLDING YOUR MONEY. Only those who are inexperienced in traveling use these slimeballs. DONT do it again. Use your phone or via internet and make YOUR OWN reservations and make ABSOLUTELY SURE you are dealing directly with the hotel. Screw these third party places. They are ALL POND SCUM.
