Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

In 2018 we retained Lyons Heritage Tampa, LLC. a Arthur Rutenberg franchisee to build our home in St. Petersburg. They hired Progerssive Air Systems Inc. to be the HVAC sub-contractor. Progresive Air Systems Inc. installed 3 Units and we also agreed to a pre-paid service contract (BIG MISTAKE). One unit had several service calls within the first year. Turns out that one of the issues was a float that opens to drain water from the water-pan was incorrectly installed and caused the water-pan to fill and over-flow. In the end, the float was installed on the high side instead of the low side of the pan. Eventually another A/C contractor correctly diagnosed the problem and provided the needed repair.

Further an exhaust fan that was defective and I reported the issue to the General Contractor multiple times during the first year (The Warranty period). We had no idea at the time that Progressive Air Systems Inc. installed the fan and the General Contractor failed to provide the name of the company repsonsible. Once we learned that Progressive Air Systems Inc. was the company we imediatley contacted them for service. At that time the most rude personal you could ever imagine informed us that our 1 year Warranty had expired and they would replace the fan for a $250 service call. I declined the offer.

We were contacted by Progressive Air Systems Inc. "Service Department" in an attempt to schdule our semi-annual service. I told the gentlemen calling that I had contracted with another company to provide our semi-annual service and I asked that the money they were holding be aplied to the exhaust fan repair. Troy simply stated" Sorry, no refunds on pre-paid service contracts" I explained I wasn't asking for a refund, only that the money I paid should be applied to the exhaust fan repair in all fairness. Again, "no refunds on prepaid service contracts".

In the end, we were left hanging by Progressive Air as well as Lyons Heritage Tampa LLC/ Arthur Rutenberg. I'm quite confident that if there is a response posted it will be a well-reasoned explanation of how they run thier business. In the end this is a buyer beware issue for all that may read this post.
