I was exiting a legitimate Online Goodwill shopping site and suddenly a pop-up came up offering a Free cookware set but had to pay $7.99 to enter a drawing, so I paid that with my debit card and never heard anything...then a week later this company charged my card $66.97 for an "account fee" that I did not join or agree to.
When I called them and a "third party rep" said she would 'cancel my account' and I said I never agree to having an account with anyone I wanted my money back. She said she would 'console' the company. She returned on the line and said they would only agree to refund me 20%! I said no way I want all my money back.
She then went back to talk to them (prob did not speak to them at all) and then said they would agree to pay 70% so I decided to do that to finally get out of this mess.
She said I was recorded agreeing and said I would get my money on my card in 5 to 7 days. I could have fought this crap thru my bank but did not have the time to wait for this (2 months it would end up taking)
I thought this was part of an offer from the Goodwill site when in fact it was an internet scam. I never agreed to have an account with anyone. I am so angry but now I know.
