Spotlight Resorts, Andrea Blair AKA Lainey Lewis OWNER FRAUD SCAMMER STOLE MONEY IN FEES TOLD ME TIMESHARE WOULD BE SOLD PAID TITLE MONEY THEN INCREASE AND NEVER SOLD AFTER 4 years. I've been with them for 7 years Huntington Beach CA
Andrea Blain AKA Lainey Lewis Owner of Spotlight Resorts has scammed me for the last 7 years telling me she will sell my timeshare. I paid them a fee back in 2015 to Market and sell my timeshare. I went on their website and saw timeshares listed for sale so I thought it was a legitimate business. After a few years nothing happened. I heard nothing. In March of 2019 Lainey Lewis the owner called me and told me that she had a buyer for my timeshare for $18,500.00 and that I had to give them $325.00 for title money to start the sales paperwork. I gave her the $325.00 on 4/1/2019. Lainey called me once a month ad left the same voicemail every time. I now realize that she was just reading a script and lying to me all the time. She is a fraud and criminal. I have saved all the voicemails. She would say she checked in with title and that they were working on it. In early 2021 after 2 years and additional fees paid. She told me the buyer needed a cosigner and it would take longer. I waited and same message were left on voicemail. After another year she finally said the deal fell through, but she had another buyer for more money and that everything was done and it would not take long to process the sale. In the fall of 2022 Ieft her a very angry voicemail that I was sick and tired of her b******t and that she had to have the sale completed by 12/31/22. She called and defended herself and acted like I was in the wrong. On February 17th. I received an email asking for another annual fee of 99.00. I then called me timeshare Diamond Resorts and they informed me that I had been scammed because they do not sell to 3rd parties. There was not title company contacting them, no sales agreement or anything, I immediately went online and saw multiple complaints on multiple sites from people who had had the same thing happen to them with Lainey. I dug deeper and found out that Lainey Lewis is her AKA name and her real name is Andrea Blair. Everyone who submitted complaints stated that she committed fraud and Spotlight resorts was a scam.
After finding all this information out I sent and email to Lainey telling her it was ridiculous that it had been 4 years since I gave here title money and additional fees and my timeshare has not been sold. I called her for being a fraud, scamming me, nickel and diming me and stealing money while continually lying to me. I gave her 72 hours to issue me a refund for Title money, Title increase, Annual fees and membership fee since nothing had been done for 4 years. She told me on 4/1/2019 that my title money was fully refundable. She lied once again.
I am filing complaints on the Better Business Bureau, Revdex, Ripoff report, California Consumer Affairs, Calling the Attorney General, The state senator And Congress women and Randy Mac Consumer Investigative Reporter. I hope someone will hold her and Spotlight Resorts accountable for what they are doing to people over and over again and revoke her business license. I will continue to file complaints in hopes that she will be shut down and I receive my refund. I have explained this all-in great detail to her in an email and she refuses to respond because I want my money back. She is a Lying, Cheating Criminal who is committing Fraud.
