BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! Horrible Experience. I came to the mall with my wife, son and his best friend to have a great day at the mall. It was a nice family day we were having. They advertise $8 Valet Parking to park you in the regular lot.

I’m a disabled veteran that has used their service many times and never been asked to pay more than $8. I will note that I have always tipped a minimum of $2. Today, I was asked for $20 to park when I asked to be up front due to the snowy and me not being able to move well from my bad back and knees from the war.

Mind you there was only 1 car up front and 4 available spaces at the time. The attendant told me the front spaces cost more. When I mentioned another car (same as mine) I saw up front many other times, they told me, “yeah he pays $20 all of the time”. I said, “Fine”.

When I walked away it just kept bothering me that the attendant sized me up, and asked for more than advertised. We went I to the mall, did our thing and when I walked back out to my car at the valet the attendant did not even park my car where I had asked. I was furious.

I spoke to the attendant again and asked him why it wasn’t up front. He said, “I thought you didn’t want to pay for it”. At this time all of the spots were completely clear. I asked how they can ask for $20 when they visibly advertise $8 for Valet Parking. The attendant told me I could talk to the owner, so I said, “Please let me talk to him right now!”

I meet the owner, Jeff. I explain the situation. He then tells me they do get up to $20 (including tip) for parking up front. This is False Advertising. They bait you with Valet and then switch you out to the regular lot. The owner continued to be an absolute tool. This is NOT SOMEONE I WILL EVER TRUST AGAIN WITH MY VEHICLE. They stereotyped me and price gouged me because they know I have money. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. CROOKS IN MY OPINION.

Since the incident I have been contacted by the mall and the restaurant the valet service works for and they confirmed there should NEVER have been an up charge. I wouldn't trust these scammers with my car.

Considering this was the reply from representatives of Park Meadows Mall I think you have no clue of the service being offered.  I was not asked to pay $8 and a $12 tip.  I was asked for $20 and still did not get the service.  And, since my truck was not up front, I had to wait longer in the cold for it.  This is why I wanted it close.  Not because they bring the vehicle to me.  Thank you for your opinion but I think youa re wrong, much like the crooks at Summit Valet Parking.

"I wanted to contact you regarding your face book post and experience with Valet at Park Meadows.

On behalf of Park Meadows accept our apology and know that under NO circumstances is valet over $8.  We contract with Summit valet through our business improvement district and specific restaurants or stores that wish to provide complimentary or valet parking.  It is completely unacceptable for Summit to categorize parking or charge above the $8 agreed upon fee for any space or positioning.

The valet at Park Meadows is either a set amount of $8 or complimentary. All Schomp plated vehicles, handicap placard vehicles are to be parked complimentary in all circumstances.

The other complimentary parking is for restaurant specific customers Season’s 52 and White Chocolate Grill at dinner, Perry’s, Fogo, and Brio lunch and dinner.

We are meeting with the owner of Summit Valet to go over this situation and while an individual valet may have been confused and utilizing the program inappropriately the owner knows and understands the intent for the service at Park Meadows.

We appreciate knowing any inappropriate activity is taking place and will address this immediately.

Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you in the future and thank you so very much for your service and sacrifice. "

They advertise valet parking for $8. That is what you get, you don't get to chose where they park it. But the reality is that in terms of having to walk it makes no difference because unless valet's are different in Colorado a valet will take your car and bring it back to you. You don't have to walk to the car.

But please take away your entitlement and stop playing the Disabled Veteran Card. While your service and sacrafice is appreciated. Your disability has nothing to do with this. You being a Veteran has nothing to do with this. The only reason you put that in is to try and gain sympathy, but it really just shows your entitlement attitude.

After all here you are a "disabled Veteran" who has a bad back and knees making it difficult to move. Yet you are at the mall complaining about a valet that will bring the car to you,  But unless you are going to sit on a bench all day, you are doing a lot of walking.

The fact is that you requested an additional service of being parked up front. Which as previously stated really has no effect if your goal was to reduce your walking since it doesn't matter where they bring the car back to you at.

As a result of this request they would honor that for $20, which was basically the $8 valet fee and a $12 tip. So yes, there is no "upcharge" but as they say "money talks and **** walks". Had a person come up in a 1980 POS and handed over $20 they would get that "up front" parking without question.  Nothing unique here...except for your entitlement attitude.

The fact that they had 1, 5 or 500 spaces up front has nothing to do with this. Take for example if you are going to a concert. They advertise seats for $80, now those seats are going to be several sections back. However, if you want Front Row seats you can pay $200. It doesn't matter if every Front Row seat is unsold, unless you pay the $200 you aren't sitting there.
