Maybe the governments of Canada and America can purchase thousands of commercial buildings for the homeless

Since there is obviously going to be a commercial real estate collapse in America and in Canada soon, it might be a good idea for the US government and the Canadian government to purchase the thousands of buildings and convert them into shelters for the homeless.
The government can also convert many of these buildings into Soup Kitchens in order to feed the homeless in Canada and in America. They can even employ the homeless as cooks. Instead of spending billions of dollars on weapons and supplying Ukraine with money for their War effort, the money could be used to help the homeless, right?
