Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I keep reading about people waiting for their unemployment checks or aid applications to process through various computer systems around the country but you have to realize the problem isn't the computer system no matter where you are. I keep hearing about these phantom computer problems. It doesn't matter what state you're in. State governments have some of the most advanced computer systems money can buy.

Complaining about computer systems is like buying a new car and complaining because you don't know how to start the engine or drive. Government agencies spare no expense when it comes to buying computer systems and they spend big. I used to work for a county agency so I have some experience with this matter. All the county's computers connect to the state government's mainframe. Computer systems, no matter where they are, can handle millions of transactions at a time. Wisconsin has had over 500,000 applications in the last few months, and it's behind as well.

500,000 applications translate into 500,000 files each containing dozens of fields that applicants fill out. Computer systems can easily process 500,000 files. The computers work fine. The problem is the people behind the screen. Many, if not most, are of the non-white or female or veteran or disabled variety. It's their membership in these groups that get them hired and promoted. These people suck at their jobs even in the best of times. Qualifications are meaningless. It's all about affirmative action and veteran service points. All you can do is wait and hope.
