Firstly, we have worked with this customer to resolve the situation and have issued full refunds of their trial fee and any charges that were processed beyond our trial period.
Secondly, the customer mentions that the charges beyond the trial package were unauthorized, which is not accurate. Our website and biling terms clearly publish that all Trial packages will automatically transition into our Professional or Premium packages unless the customer contacts us to cancel during the trial period or within our Money Back Guarantee period of 30 days. The customer must explicitly acknowledge these terms prior to opening their account.
Thirdly, due to the time zone differences between our Client Services office (Canada) and the customer's location (Australia) we had a very difficult time connecting with this customer over the phone and through email.
Due to the sensative nature of the information our service collects and the fact that our software powers our customer's businesses, we must validate the person requesting the closure of an account is the authorized owner. In order to do this we ask all customers to confirm sensative personal information that only the owner would know and to ensure this information remains secure, we require all customers to call in order to provide us with this information. This policy is purely to protect our customer's privacy and to ensure their information remains secure.
We are a reputable service provider with over a decade of experience servering over 200,000 online businesses. We are not interested in taking money from customers who would not benefit from our solution and offer very generous money back guarantee and trial periods. In almost all cases we apply our billing terms to the best interest of our customer and will always attempt to work with customers who wish to close their account and are reqeusting a refund.
