This company markets by email and represents itself as a New York company. When in fact they are located in the UK and have no New York phone number.

I responded to their email and purchased their service. Once they had my credit card number they refused to answer any emails about providing that service.

I have also tryed to find a New York phone listing but they do not exit.

My credit card company refuses to refund my money (Capital One / Visa) because they will not call a UK phone number to investigate this fraudulant company.

Buyer beware of this internet rip-off that has cost me $300.00 and many hours of grief.

We we never given a phone number and their New York USA address has NO PHONE number listed. I stand by my previous complaint.

I'm Steve Stockton the owner and founder of 24-7. My organization has been online as an international directory system for professionals and organizations operating within the personal and professional development industry since March 2002. We have always marketed ourselves as 'International'. Since launching, more than 10,000 Coaches, Trainers, Consultants, Speakers and Course Providers have listed their companies and services in our various directories for potential clients to see. In fact, we're probably one of the biggest and most established independent directory systems on the internet listing businesses who offer coaching, training, consulting and speaking services to clients. Approx. 65% of our members are US based. The remaining 35% are very much international (including, England, Scotland, Wales, Canada, Ireland, France, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Denmark, Switzerland, Norway, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore to name a few all listed at our site). We do have our US mailing address and our US telephone number listed at our site (you can call us on 001 646 688 5263). However, like many successful internet companies, 24-7 is now a virtual company with staff in three countries. Our headquarters is in Manchester, UK - this is where all our customer service and member support calls derive. Our team strive for service excellence - the majority of feedback we receive from clients and members tell us we're helpful, friendly and solution focused. We need to be this way, as we're a company with a long-term vision, to be the internet's leading source for clients (private, small businesses or organizations) searching for coaching, training, consulting or speaking services. In reference to the report filed at this website by Bob Vieno I can only state the factual information we have recorded on our system (Bob Vieno's membership record, emails which were exchanged and phone records at the time he listed his company). Bob Vieno emailed us asking for more information on our Corporate service on Feb 20 2008. Following Bob's email request a member of our team replied and agreed a time to call Bob on an appointment basis. At the end of the appointment it was agreed to 'leave the ball' in Bob's court until the time was right to begin his company listing with us. On Thursday April 3 2008 Bob Vieno emailed us stating that he would be in his office on April 8 at 9AM ET when he would like us to call to start his service with 24-7. On April 8 a member of our team called Bob to set-up his listing/service - at the end of the call Bob completed his order (a $299 Corporate Service) by giving his business details and payment card number, Bob's service with 24-7 began online immediately. On April 17 Bob emailed his account rep at 24-7 and asked for support in uploading his company logo to his company's listing/profile page - we uploaded the logo no problem. At this point Bob's service/listing/profile was 'up and running' and the service Bob had paid for had been delivered 100%. All Bob needed to do now was login to his service and submit the text which he wanted potential clients to see - those searching in our directories at 24-7. I guess it's worth stating that submitting the text to a profile page is incredibly easy, takes just minutes to do and has been successfully completed by thousands of 24-7 members. On May 8 2008 we received a letter from the credit card transaction company requesting information about the purchase of Bob Vieno's service at 24-7. Basically Bob was claiming he had 'not received the services relating to the transaction'. As with any company, if a client makes a claim like this we are obliged to supply documentation which proves the client has received the services as stated, this is exactly what we did. We sent printed copies of all the emails which were sent between Bob Vieno and 24-7 to VISA and based on the evidence we provided the credit card decided that Bob Vieno's complaint was not warranted and for this reason have refunded his money. This was not a decision made by 24-7 but by the credit card company. If the credit card company had decided to fulfill Bob Vieno's request for a refund we would have had no choice in the matter, the money would have been refunded and we would have been debited $299 automatically. Since the refund was not made to Bob Vieno I have personally emailed him and called him (leaving a voice message to get in-touch) - I have not heard from Bob Vieno. Meanwhile Bob's full Corporate service remains open for his use at 24-7.
