I joined Anytime Women's Fitness (owner Steve Riffle) in February of 2010.  In July they announced that they were going co-ed as "24hr Workout Express" (at 789 Hebron Rd, Heath, OH) but were opening a new, ladies only 24 hour facility at 920 Hebron Rd, Heath, Oh as "24hr Women's Workout".  Well, a couple of e-mails later (last very beginning of July) and I got no more news.

Now, I go by the "24hr Women's Workout" and it's clearly not open at night, lights off, no keycard access.  I go to the old facility (789 Hebron Rd) and most of the remaining equipment was taken out so it's pretty bare.

I came home and e-mailed Steve Riffle (the owner) only to get an e-mail failure because his e-mail site is no longer any good.  So I go to the site only to find it dismantled.  I tried phoning their number only (740-522-BFIT (2348) only to find the phone has been disconnected.

This does not bode well.  He signed up about 400 members as "Anytime Women's Fitness".  He then offered a "Grand Opening Special" of adding family members for $99 apiece for the year and got a lot of $99 sign ups.  He then offered a $150 Grand Opening Special and got about 200 people to pay $150 apiece.

And NOW, he's disappearing.  I also hear he's in trouble for tax evasion.  My take on this....he's planning on taking the money and disappearing with it.

I contacted our State Attorney General's Office because I am really worried about the disappearing Mr Riffle.  He's changed the name of his business ("Bodies in Motion", "Anytime Fitness", "Anytime Women's Fitness", "24hr Women's Workout" and/or "24hr Workout Express" more often than I've changed cars.  Now, with dismanteling his online site, having the phone disconnected and his e-mail site disappearing, well....very fishy.

He does state that classes will start at the new location on July 12th.  But then he added a note that his main instructor "lisel" would be out of town until August 16th.  Something very fishy here....

Save your $$$, don't get ripped off by this con artist.

State of Ohio Attorney General's Office Took Over Investigation of Steve Riffle

The State of  Ohio, Attorney General's Office took over the investigation of Steve Riffle and Änytime Women's Fitness/24 Hour Workout Express"".  Jay was actually an innocent scapegoatcalso conned by Steve Riffle.

I received notification of above, as did a lot of scammed customers of Steve Riffle, directly from the Ohio Attorney General's Office.  Thus; I suspect the one "Good" review above is either Steve Riffle or Jay (when he still thought the 24 Hour Workout Express was going to be his) or one of their family members.

There is also a ripoff report regarding this businesses closure and the above investigation.  Below directly from the State of Ohio.

I also joined 24 Hr Workout Express, and was a little stunned with what I read in the report filed in July, by the person who joined in Feb. I signed up in early Oct with a young man named Jay Justice, who said he was a partner with Steve, and have had absolutely no problems. The facility is always open, clean, equipment is always in working order. I wanted to bring my husband in for a trial membership to see if he would like it enough to join, and they gave me a free 2 week pass. I've belonged to several different health clubs in my past, being that I'm not from the Newark/Heath area origanally. I grew up in Michigan, and only moved here because my husband's job was transferred to the Columbus area. We chose to live in Heath because the cost of living was cheaper. Anyway, no other health club I have ever belonged to, allowed me to bring in a guest for more than a couple of workouts, before trying to enroll them as a member. However 24 Hr Workout Express let my husband come in 10 times before he eventually decided to enroll. I don't know what the situation with the other member, who claimed to be ripped off was, but I have had a terrific expierence so far. I know everybody has a story, and every story has 2 sides. I just feel like these guys and their club have been very generous to me and my family. I hoped everything worked out with the other person, but I just felt like if people only hear negative feedback, than that is all they have to go on. I wanted to explain how great I was treated, because I feel like they went above and beyond for me, so the least I could do was comment on that expierence. Keep up the good work guys, and don't worry their will always be people who will never be happy no matter what you do. My husband and I are completely satisfied, and intend on staying members for a long time to come. Stay positive, and don't listen to all the negativity. Thanks again, and I hope this helped out anyone who is looking for a great place to get into shape this winter.
