Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I was hired in June 2014 as the new Sales Manager for this company.  It was clear that the previous Sales Manager had left quickly but I did not question it.  Once I agreed to terms with Dave Llorens and Ryan Ferrier (co-founders) I reported to work only to find that I was reporting to Dave's 2 room San Francisco apartment.  They had no office and often met at coffee shops.  It also quickly became evident that these two guys really did not get along.  In our very first "Manager's Meeting" they were at odds regarding my role and how I was to carry it out.  I was hired to recruit, train and manage a sales team that really did not exist.  They stated during the interview process that they had a team and one person sold 13 accounts recently.  Well as it turns out this was questionable and not documentable.  The month prior to my joining them they claimed to have had 17 sales.  One now wonders if that is true as well.  So I begin recruiting and training new people only to have them advise me at the end of June that I needed to stop recruiting and focus on generating sale from the existing team. The "team" sold 2 account in the month of June.  I make every effort to adapt to what they are asking of me and one week later (yesterday) they march into my office to inform me that they (the two of them) can no longer work together and they asked me to leave the company.  The sales team was not informed of my abrupt firing.  My phone beagan ringing the next day as members of the newly recruited sales team are calling me regarding trainings and meetings.  Still no word fro Dave and Ryan to the staff.  So I sent a message to a few members of the team today 7/10/2014 informing them of what had happened.  Dave then sends a response to all with a vague suggestion that my reporting could be flawed.  It was not flawed I simply reported what happened and that I was asked to leave the company.  I receive a series of emails advising me on how he would like the messaging to the team to look. I politley told him and Ryan that was not my concern and to stop sending me requests and/or demands.  These are two smart people and they may have even more success in the future but right now they are grasping at straws and just throwing things against the wall to see what sticks.  It is unfortunate that they are also toying with the lives of people who are working as 1099 Independent Contractors while they try to figure out who their clients are and what their sales protocol should be.  60-DayMBA is a company that should be avoided by serious sales professionals as well as entrepreneurs looking for serious coaching to help them launch their businesses.
