86th St. Photo & Video This is a "Bait and Switch" Company - buyer be ware! Internet
I odered a GPS online based on a cost comparison from one of the many sites that list the best price. 86th street was listed as a certified merchant; however, I had the same experience as the others:
Item was listed as in stock, placed order, got email the next day saying I need to call and confirm order and when I did Steve at ext 203 tried to sell me a 2GB memory card for the unit for $169.00 and when I told him I couldn't afford it he hung up on me.
Within five minutes I received the following email: "We regret to inform you that by the time your order reached the shipping process, our inventory on the product(s) you ordered was negative, therefore your order will
be placed on a temporary backorder until we receive the product(s) back again in stock which will be in about 3-4 weeks".
I called back and asked if I used expedited shipping if that would make any difference and he rudely told me no and hung up while I was still talking! Stay clear of these type dealers and check them out before you order!
