On or about March 19, 2008, I requested that A AAADvantage move our car from Estero, FL to Winsted, CT. I was assured that, if they were given a 2 week leeway, that I would receive the car by May 9th, the day we would arrive there by plane. I finalized the contract on 4/3/08 giving them a pick up date of 4/25/08. At that time and many phone calls up to 5/9/08, they could not commit to a pick up date for the car. At no time untill the day before we were flying back did they suggest that the car may be picked up sooner if we brought the car to the Naples, FL terminal. if they had said that sooner and given me a pick up date, we would have done it.

In any case, on the morning of May 9th, we drove the care 15 miles or so to the terminal. The man there said that there had been problems recently with A AAAdvantage but not in the past.

I gave A AAAdvantage until the folloing Wednesday, May 14th, to give me a pick up date from the terminal. When they could not, I cancelled the contract. They sent me an e-mail agreeing to the cancellation. As of 6/12/08. I have not yet received the $650 credit to my charge card.

I called there customer sevice dept. today, 6/12, to give them one more chance. They did have the cancellation and approval on record. The girl in billing said she had put through the credit on 5/20. The credit card company did not get the info. I am now told that the boss has to sign off on it and that she will do so by 6/16/08. I will call on 6/17 to find out if the credit went through.

Their delays cost me over $400. in car rentals until we got another company recommended by ther terminal in Naples, to transport our car. They, Autolog, gave me an immediate pick up and delivery date. They were one day late in the pick up but 4 days earlier on the delivery, with their time only taking 6 days total. I wish I heard of them sooner.

I intend to file a credit card dispute if I do not get my credit submitted next week and also file a complaint with the Arizona Dept. of Consumer protection to try and get the car rental money back.

If A AAADvantage comes through on their own, they can feel free to rebut this issue.
