A Cut Above, Jason Hess ripoff, Non payment!! I worked for the company, Tax fraud!! Fake lottery! Owes me wages and I have no recourse due to ignorance of the SOL to file with the Dep. of wage and labor. Belgrade Montana
I worked for A Cut Above irrigation and didn't get paid!! I worked sixty hours a week for seven months, only getting paid for fourty, with the agreement that I would get paid my overtime over the winter and not have to work.
This is just crookery in it's finest. The company never paid my child support, but garnished my wages
A Cut Above never filed taxes on some of their employees,( being foreman, I was able to let these employees know, albeit well after the fact) I am owed approximately eight thousand dollars for all of my overtime hours.
I know this sounds like an idiot agreement on my part, and it was, but I did not know the laws and thus learned a harsh lesson. Jason Hess told me he would pay me in one lump sum if I waited. I waited to long to file a complaint ( cap is one year from last date of employment) and was told by Dep. of labor that they could do nothing.
Anything I can do now? This has been at the forefront of my mind for two years and every one I call( attorneys, Dep. of labor, Dep. of rev.) tells me its futile. I need to get it behind me!
