A & E Factory Appliance, And Nationwide Won't show up for appointments without extreme pressure to corporate Greensboro North Carolina
We purchased Kitchen Aid appliances when we re-did our kitchen. All 4 of them have had major problems so I purchased an extended warranty, which is something you just have to do nowdays. I had a service call scheduled on a Saturday, and the service person said he didn't carry a lot of parts in his truck, so he needed to come back the next Saturday.
It was inconvenient for us, but we couldn't get another date, so we said okay. Someone was supposed to be here between 8-12, on that Saturday, and I got a phone call halfway through the morning saying the technician had called in sick. Too bad for me apparently. They had no back up plan, no one to come out and THEY DIDN'T CARE in customer service. The supervisor I asked to speak with hung up on me.
On Monday morning, I phoned the office of the president of Sears, Bruce Johnson. Sears owns A & E Appliance Factory Repair. I got results.
Here is the phone number 847.286.2500. The phone number for Glen Olinger, who is president of Kitchen Aid, is 616.923.5000. We purchased our appliances at Lowe's and the president of Lowe's is Larry Stone. His number is 704.758.1000.
I have always found that going to the office of the president of the company will not get you into his office, but it will get you to a special department where influence is used to get you what you were promised in the first place. Don't hold back. These folks can usually get you results.
I have now read reviews on A & E and they are the worst I have ever seen for a service repair company. It seems that it is not narrowed down to one particular town, either. It is a shame that this type of service is thrust on the general public and a further shame that a national brand would utilize them for repair.
