Complaint Review: A J Singh & Son Auto Sales - Hollywood Florida

Renter Beware!!! Buyer Beware!!!

This review is for A J Singh & Son Auto Sales that is located at 6223 Pembroke Rd. in Hollywood, FL 33023. They have several different addresses on many different websites with different phone numbers for each so called business they represent. They also have several different names such as American Security Insurance Inc. which is on the front of the building, and EZ Insurance Agency which is advertised on a website that advertises for Insurance.  

What does that say about this business? This says to me that they do not want consumers to be able to know that they are the same business. But they are! And it is a family business so they are all related to one another from the different departments. The main building is actually a small office located on Pembroke Rd, in Hollywood, FL. and all these other business names are separated only by small cubicle offices at the same location.

This particular review pertains only to the real estate dept. which is the part that I dealt with directly. Although they are claiming to be an auto sales, real estate, and insurance as a multi-service company!

To continue my review, I dealt with this business a few years ago. It claimed it was a licensed real estate company. But how can this business be licensed, and treat their customers with such horrible customer service, and no respect. This business ripped me off by rented me a home that I found out later to be in foreclosure. After I signed their lease, and I gave this company my money I found out I couldn't move in because the house was still being occupied after the real estate agent told me I would love it. After all it was move-in condition! That's what the agent told me! It was anything but move-in condition, and it caused me & my children more stress than one can imagine.

I tried to make it work for my family since I had moved across state to rent it, and I really didn't have another option. After two weeks of living here I had enough, and I moved out of the house because the house was also overrun with rats, plus the sewer pipe broke and left my family without a running toilet or tub. Anyone with children knows this would be a very difficult situation. Besides that the house was in so much code violation that it should have been condemed.

I called the agent to ask for some of my deposit back, not all. I figured since I had stayed for two weeks then I would pay for that time of residence. (I am not the type of person who expects something for nothing!) The agent kept telling me to call the landlord and when I did the the landlord kept telling me to call the real estate agent back. This was very frustrating and most times I was ignored, and received no answer.

I gave this company $3500. 00 for the deposit on the day of move-in, and they didn't even want to give me back a dollar for all the hardships my family faced. They shouldn't have been able to rent this house out as it was not fit for even stray animals, and they shouldn't be licensed to do any type of business with the public. The funny thing is their website says they conduct business in Auto Sales. All I have to say is watch out buyers, because if you decide to do business with this company they will rip you off too. The scarey thing is that you won’t realize it till it’s too late! I hope this helps someone out there from making a huge mistake like I did! Becareful when dealing with this company!
