On 4/14/10 A team trucking company came to my house in albert lea,mn and packed up my household goods and told me i owed $799.00 which was put in the contract.
About two days later Desmond the driver called and told me that i went over 100lbs and my estimated weight was 2500 lbs. Then on 5/01/10 they came to my house in punta gorda,fl to deliver my belongings and i had the money order for $799.00 for them and they refused to take the payment which i owed them and took off with my stuff.
The police department was called on 05/01/10 and they pulled the truck over to be weighed at the weigh station and they did not weigh the truck and the police asked for a weigh receipt and Desmond told them that they did not have one to show them.
Desmond told the police officers that i owed $2600.00 instead of 799.00 . I have called Desmond and the company numerous times and nothing has been resolved because they refuse to work with me or they refuse to return my phone calls. I have been told many times different prices for the weight and none of it makes sense.
I have talked to a lady named Marie who works for World Wide Van Lines and also is the dispatch and she said that that Desmond said I owed $700.00 and then a manager of World Wide Van Lines told me that i owed $2000.00.
I have sent a certified letter with a check amount of $799.00 because thats what the contract said and the certified letter and the money was returned back to me by the company. They refused to take it and return my belongings.
