Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I had someone from the Ithaca, NY store actually threaten to enter my home to retrieve rental items (furniture) when only my 15-year old was home. This guy (I think it was Kyle, who I found out later was the manager of the store) called me on the phone while I was at work and told me that he was going to enter my home and take out the items I had rented if I did not make a payment to him. I told him I was at work and that there was no way he was going into my home because only my 15-year old was there and he did not have my permission to do so.

He responded by saying that he 'only needed a sheriff with him and my 15-year old's permission to enter my home and take the items back.' When I challenged him to say that was completely against the law and I would file charges if he tried to go into my home with my UNDERAGE son, he laughed and said he 'already had gone into my apartment and taken half of the items out'.

I told him he'd better hoped otherwise or I would have him arrested. He then hung up on me. I called him back and when he answered I told him he better hope he went nowhere near my son or into my home when I wasn't there. I then called the store and another guy (an accounts manager) answered, I told what just happened. He scoffed at it and laughed by saying 'he didn't take anything out of your apartment'.

I was furious. I've since reported this to the company's Regional Manager and after speaking with him, I have no confidence whatsoever that anything will be done.

THEY ARE BULLIES & LIKE TO THREATEN PEOPLE, USING THEIR UNDERAGE CHILDREN TO DO SO.

I'd been a loyal customer for eight years. I will NEVER again do business with them and will make sure that everyone knows this story. They have no right to treat their customers this way.

I'm not the Deadbeat. You are for trolling my report and not even having the balls enough to use a real name.

This company is NOTORIOUS for their practices and they're are dozens of similiar reports of this same type of behavior at stores nationwide.

Definition of a Deadbeat...

Let me start off by saying that I do not condone anyone breaking the law.  Where even if you were a true deadbeat and were intentionally not giving them back their furniture, I don't condone them going into your house illegally.

However if it really got to the point where they had to bring a Sheriff Deputy, you were severly delinqent and they probably did have the authority of law to do that.

But here is another aspect that makes your report not so believable.  You told them if they did go into your house, you would have him arrested and file charges on him.  So if that is the case, why are you fiddling around with trying to get something done with the Regional Manager?  Why didn't you go to the police?  Why didn't you go to the DA?  If you got them arrested I am sure you would have been bragging and making sure that we all knew that.

I think because you know what the result would be.  Even if by some chance they got arrested, it won't get the furniture back because you were delinquent and they most likely had the legal right to reposess it.

What's wrong with you? Pay your bills or return their 'stuff'.

Do you really think it's wrong that want their money or their merchandise?

I would think you'd be embarassed to submit a report like this.
