Aaron's Rentals ripoff harrassment I will never, ever even enter an Aaron's Rentals let alone rent from them again. Lincoln Park Michigan
I rented furniture at Aaron's rentals, thinking at the time that it would be easier if not less expensive than piecing my living room together. For one year I made every payment on time, but my rental agreement was for 24 months.
After 26 months I over paid by four payments to alleviate my bills. As the months passed I had forgotten completely about the furniture payment and recieved a phone call informing me that I was late. I made a verbal agreement on the phone with a manager that I would pay the following friday as that was when my check came in.
On tuesday morning at 10 am I was woken by a pounding on my front door. I had just fallen asleep as I had worked until 6 am. I decided to ignore the pounding, unsure as to who would be at my house that early. The pounding stopped for a moment, then started again on my back door. I was getting aggravated but again decided to ignore it. Then it stopped again and began on my bedroom window, this time much harder causing the figurines I had standing on my window sill to fall to the floor. I flung open the window to see a sales rep from Aaron's rentals. I described to her my work schedule and payment arrangement and she insisted that I had to pay that day. I told her to go and talk to her boss and slammed the window.
Each morning until Friday she was back at my house, at my doors and windows, waking me only hours after I had fallen asleep, even after I had explained to her.
On friday I waited for her to come and tossed my payment down on the ground and explained to her that the payment would pay off my furniture and to leave me alone. I then called Aaron's and talked to the manager with which I had made the arrangement and he told me that he had never made that arrangement with me and that they were going to pick my furniture up.
I told him that he had my remaining balance, as there was nothing I could do. I had already paid them $2400, plus the $1000 I had just given the door pounder.
Needless to say I felt helpless and trapped. I will never, ever even enter an Aaron's Rentals let alone rent from them again.

get a lawyer and sue for harrasssment tresspassing and keep recipts that u are up to date on payments
