I initially began a rental agreement with Aaron's in October of 2010 for a mattress.  The mattress they brought out to my home was in horrible condition, it was lumpy, and soon began to sink in and became very uncomfortable.  I began to complain about the mattress in January to the management.

From January until July, I complained, finally at the end of June 2011 they sent someone out to my home to inspect the mattress to see that it in fact was lumpy and sinking in all over the bed despite repeated attempts at flipping it, using foam mattress pads etc.  They agreed to bring out a brand new mattress as soon as they got one in.

The middle of July they brought out my new mattress that was not wrapped up in plastic and put it on my bed and removed the old lumpy one.  The mattress was great.  We had no problems with it and we even paid off early because we were pleased that finally we had come to a resolution after months of uncomfort from the lumpy bed.

Towards the end of July we started getting bitten by something that we assumed were spider bites, so we had a bug man come in a spray for spiders.  However the bites continued but not at an aggressive pace.  On October 23, 2011 we noticed a reddish brown bug on one of our pillows and low and behold it was a bed bug and our entire mattress and box spring was infested.  Fortunately for us, the infestation was contained just in that area of our bedroom.

I immediately contacted Aaron's Sales and Lease to inform them, (just to inform them) that I did not want anything from them (my exact words).  I just wanted to let them know what total pieces of junk they were because they sold me a bed that had bed bugs in it and now I have to go out and pay for all this work to be done to my home and I hope they can sleep good at night.

The Main Store Manager proceeded to try and argue with me about how they fumigate, etc, etc, however, they have 1 truck that they use to both repo furniture and deliver furniture that is never wrapped in plastic.  I truly doubt for one second that they fumigate furniture on people's front lawn.

The best advice I would like to give anyone is this, if you can't afford to buy a piece of furniture, don't rent it.  Save your money, you are better off waiting until you can pay for it all at one time, then going to one of these places where you have to pay weekly or bi-weekly because you don't know what you are getting yourself into.  They charge you way too much for over priced junk and they could care less if you get bugs from their trashy customers they don't pay their bills.

This is an inacurate report.  Our store has never had bedbugs and it is a shame that someone would post this report.  We are very aware of who the complaint came from and believe that we have provided her with excellent customer service.  We replaced her mattress with a brand new one when she complained of a dip in the bed (it is farily common for mattress to conform to someone's body).  We replaced this mattress in July and this complaint was filed in October.  She never complained about any bugs to the store until this time so we find it hard to believe that we gave her the bugs after three months.  The new mattress was still in its original plastic when we put it into the truck.  We unwrapped it in the truck right before we delivered it into her home.
