Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
On Jul 20.2005 me and my husband went to Arrons in Roswell NM to lease a used computer. We decided on a new Dell, after we were shown the computer told the price we went to sign papers and just as we were about to sign the papers we were told they had made a mistake and it has been leased before, we agreed to go ahead and take it, I ask the manager since it is used the price will be less he gave us 30 percent off of each monthly payment. We brought the computer home, the computer did not work we could not download any of the nessary software. I called them that night (same day as I bought the computer) I was told they would bring me a different tower the next day by 7pm, never showed up, called again told they had forgotten and would be here that night by 7, never showed, My husband called on Sat threatend to call the owners ect. told him they would be at my house by 2, they actually showed up , brought me another tower and speakers,The one I was leasing had dvd burner, cd burner on it, the one he brought me had neither, but I was told they were the same price so it did not matter ,then as soon as he left and the computer heated up the fan started makeing a noise.

When we signed the papers and made the first payment to them I paid the remander of July and all of Aug. making my next payment due on Sept 1st.( which I ask them three time to confirm that) Three days ago I recieved a payment slip telling me it was due on Aug 15th. 5 days before I ever went in and 2 weeks early. This timne I went to Aarons and as usuall the manager was not in, so I went off on the assistant manager telling him how the computer did not work how my payment was wrong ect. I told him I was keeping the computer until Sept first when my payment was due ( they will not refund any of your money if you return it ahead of time). and on that day I would return it in the same condition I got it in. Then he tells me to give him a chance to make it right and his district manager would be in on Wed. the 10th and he would call. Your right he never called so at 6:30 I called them, he tells me Oh I have not forgotten you I am talking to the district manager right now about it. Well as you can well guess I have yet to hear a word from them. On Sept 1 I will return this computer. I told the guy that I went in with good intentions of buying this computer and was sorry to say they did not have the same intentions on selling it. We feel like we gave them a lot of time and chances to make it right but instead got the old RIP OFF!

I also went to Aaron's to lease a computer...I decided on a used Compaq, which was in good working order. $109/mo payments towards owning, starting in August. Financially, I wasn't so sure about it. I could pay $700 in 90 days, but the amount to pay it off over a year jumped to $1200. Fair enough, my credit sucks, and it's my fault. To help, the manager offered a trial through Oct 1. That was enough to make me feel safe, though I new I'd be eating a huge charge. The next day, walking through Wal-Mart, I found the same exact computer for $500, brand new. My friend was with me and he offered to pay it, and I payed him back. September 17 (before October) I got a letter from Aaron's asking for the late payment with late fees. On the 20th, they called me, and I politely accepted their offer to pick it up. I spoke with the manager, and he cleared my charges. Maybe we have better customer service out here, maybe it was just that manager. However, from my experience, you SHOULD go higher than that store. I'm sure someone flat out telling you they forgot about you is unacceptable to a district manager or higher. I'd do business with them again...except for the premature late fees they tried to charge, but they took care of it. Very little hassle, and I'm glad.
