Are you the kind of customer that hides in the other room while making your 10 yr old answer the door or the kind that leaves there 10 yr old home alone and answer doors to complete strangers? Sounds like a typical non to me..The name of the game is contact. If you can not keep contact with us even after one day, why should we not chase the companies money? What if you were paid on how you can collect money? Just follow the simple rule.....make your payment on or before your due date......that will solve all your phone calls.....Merry Christmas

many consumers fail to realize that we as collectors deal with hundreds of customers on a daily basis that offer every excuse in the book of why they are unable to make their payment on time. It is out of sheer courtesy to our customers that we hold accounts for dates that are more convenient to them. If the customer fails to show up or contact the store on or by the agreed time and date then the calls will start again until contact is made with the customer. The corporate automated dialer dials once a day to the customers home#, the store is charged for every call the dialer makes so it is definitely set up for just once per day. Discounts can be given at the time the request is made and should be no reason why it hangs for several days or even weeks. We strive to treat all customers with courtesy and respect and if you are not, I suggest you contact the regional manager of that store.

Nichole: I respect you defending your husbands job. However; in the real world things happen, like deaths in the family, family emergencies, etc. I beleive that the main office that controls these recording devices should not have them set to call homes all day. One message is as good as 10 in the same day. Sometimes you have to put yourself in the other persons shoes instead of being a corporate bully. Everytime a new item is rented a coupon off is given to the customer. Does Aarons put it in the computer immediatly, NO, they wait weeks and the annoying phone calls begin until the database is updated. Is this the consumers fault?

I am the wife of an employee who works for this Aarons store. My husband comes home and tells me about situations like this all the time, he is so frusterated about it. I have also read the contract/lease paperwork as I have an account myself. As long as you make your payment before or on the duedate you have renued the lease and the merchandise is considered yours, but when you are late the lease is broken and ownership reverts back to Aarons. When the lease is broken they have every right to call and talk to you or even reclaim their merchandise. Some of the calls made to late customers come from a machine at the main office and can not be controlled at store level. My opinion is you signed a contract to pay on time, so please be responsible and pay on time.
