I purchased 2 televisions from aarons and paid on these items for several months... After owning these items for a few months they were taken from my home so i notified aaron's about this problem and they told me they dont have no protection for stolen property so i continued to pay for the property for a month or 2 longer i run a repo company so my money got tight and i fell behind on my payments i called and told him the deal with it ( Again It Was A New Employee ) And had to explain it again that the property was stolen At this time the new manager's name was "Ben" Very respectful man and understanding and i told him i wanna pay for the property and he said we could rewrite the lease and try to lower the payments he called his manager "George" For this area.. George refused to lower the payments and today Nov 22 2005 i called george and he stated he has took out small claim papers on me and i told him i am willing to pay but i cant afford 250.00 dollars a month for property i dont even have but i would like to make arrangements to pay this and he said if i couldnt pay the full amount he would refuse the payments As far as i know from repoing cars the creditor can refuse money in attempts to pay the debt... I dont know what i should do they are refusing to work with me and are refusing me paying any other money... like i told him the contract is voided as of now since i am in default of my contract ( Im not trying to rip them off all i want is some understanding in the situation so i can pay my debt ) So i would be open to any suggestions... or

The worst thing that could happen

In RTO the worst thing that could happen is the property being stolen. You no longer have it and neither does the RTO store. They filed civil action against you to secure money against their property (the tvs until paid out are still theirs). I would consider calling and asking to speak to the GM (store manager) or the Regional about a settlement. They will normally entertain anything within reason along as it covers their cost. Just remember that a settlement with them will have to be paid in a lump sum. They will not take payments on a settlement, as you have already shown that this could be a problem. About 'Refusing money'. You are reinstating a agreement made between yourself and the company per the terms of the agreement. If the amount that you are trying to give them is not the amount that it takes to reinstate the agreement, they can so no. Good Luck and I hope you can get this resolved.
