Aaron's Savannah's Selling sick kittens Sebring Ohio
We purchased two Savannah kittens from Aaron's Savannahs in June 2013. After several hourse, we could tell the male was not right. We took them to the vet the next day, and the vet suspected our male had Feline peritonitis (FIP), (an incurable disease) due to high fever and swelling.
We advised Aaron immediately, and he refused to do anything about it, and actually accused me of trying to "scam" another cat from him. He said that antibiotics should take care of it.
Ultimately we had to euthanize the kitten since he wouldn't eat, play and had a belly full of fluid and was sick all the time. The necropsy results confirmed FIP. FIP is a virus that can be found in pet stores/catteries and a small % will convert to the disease if their immune system can't fight it off. AGAIN, NO CURE!!
We paid $1000 for this lovely kitten and hundreds of dollars in medical and testing only to experience a traumatic event of having to watch this sick little animal decline and ultimately die. Not once did Aaron ever call us with any concern about our dilemma and actually accused me of being an inadequate pet owner.
We beg you, please reconsider a purchase from this breeder. If he sells you a sick animal, he will not live up to his promise of 100% satisfaction. We signed a contract that guarantees a healthy animal or a replacement. This was an awful experience and he refuses to fulfill his obligation as a breeder. There is a total lack of empathy or concern for animals. I would be concerned his other animals have the virus too!
