On May 4, 2015, I signed a contract with Mendel Korf from Aaronson Van Lines, a moving broker, to move my belongings from Florida to Alabama.Part of the contract was free storage for one week until I could move into my house in Alabama. At this time I gave them a deposit of $600. I had to be out of my house on June 18 at 11:00 am so the mover's ETA was June 16 or June17 . On June 10, 2015 I spoke with Peter Aaronson from Aaronson Van Lines to go over any changes that may have occurred relating to the number of boxes, etc. needed for the move. At this time I wired them 1,011.63. (stupid, I know).Peter did not know about the free storage and had to call me back. He was not happy about it but said he found American Wide Movers could move me on that date.

On June 12 I spoke with Ava at American Van Lines to again go over what all was being moved. At thid time she was very kind and told me not to worry about anything. She also informed me the movers would be there on June 17, 2015 between 9 and 11:00. On June 17at 10:30 am, I received a call from Ava at American Wide saying the movers were held up in Mississippi and would be 2 hours late. I said fine. At 2:30 pm Ava called and said they had a problem. The movers were still in MS because their clients in MS were geTting a divorce and they could nit unload the truck. So I asked her if there were any trucks anywhere that could move my things.  She promptly replied"No" but when the movers were able to get there they would work through the night to get me packed and she would call me back.

I called Peter Aaronson at Aaronson Van Lines to see what he could do since I had to be out of my house at 11:00 am on the 18th. He was condencending and called me "sweetheart". I asked him not to call me that and he said "it is just a term of endearment so what do I want to be called"? I replied Mrs. Russo. Peter snidely repeated Mrs. Russo. He said that he could not get another van line and that the contract time was an ETA and that problems occur that are out of his control. At 4:45 pm Ava called to tell me the movers were 2 hours away and they would pack all not to get it done. I asked if she could send some packers over to be packing whille the moving van was in route. Ava replied that she had 4 men on the van and 2 would pack while the other 2 loaded.

I went to get something to eat and kept my cell with me in case Ava or the movers called because they can not get into my neighborhood without the gate keeper calling me first. There was no phone call but when I returned to my house there were 4 strangers standing outside my house. They said they were there to pack. I called Ava because I had no idea who they were. I also called the gate to tell them they should not have let these people in without my permission. The packers packed. They were very professional. At 9:30pm I recieve a call from Ava telling me her movers got lost and are and hour away but legally cannot drive any longer that day. I was in tears trying to figure out what to do. Ava began to accuse me of being drunk. Then she said she would not send movers out if I was drunk.

I asked what she meant by that since she had just told me they could not come anyway. I told her that I was cancelling them and would hire a new mover. She was furious and wanted the packers to unpack everything they had packed and return the supplies. Then I called Peter at Aaronson Van Lines, told him the situation and  that since I had to be out of my house the next day at 1:00 am I was going to hire someone else. He said that Ava said I was drunk. At this point my neighbor and the packers were staring as they listened to the inappropriate, accusation that Peter was hurling at me. It was 10:30 pm at this point, I hired some other movers that said they would arrive the next morning at 8:00 am. Meanwhile, Ava called the packers and toled them if they did not unpack everything and return the supplies she was going to send the police to their house. It was crazy!

At 8:00 am the new movers came to the house and were loading. I had to go through realtors explaining my situation so the buyers could not do their walk trough until 2 pm. I still had to finish cleaning the house after the movers left. At 9:42 on June 18th Gina Aaronson from Aaronson Van Lines called me to tell me the movers she hired were at my house at 9:30 am and took a picture of my movers packing the van. I asked her why they did not come to the door because my neighbor nor I nor the movers saw a moving truck come by the house. SHe just said because the new movers were already moving. I checked with the Mike at the gate of my community, he had no record, did not see another moving van. He checked the video cam and there was no other moving van. I asked Gina for my deposit back, she said no and that I need to pay the packers. We went back and forth until I finally said I was not going to pay the packers and I wanted my deposit back and that they could speak with my lawyer next. She said fine. Needless to say Aaronson Van Lines never moved my belongings but still have my $1600.

Aaronson Van Lines sent many threats to sue me because of my reports of their taking $1600 from me and never moving me. This issue has not been resolved. They have made many false claims against me when all I want is the return of my $1600 . Many others have made similar claims about this company so I would check out all the claims before hiring them.
