From: "ABI Enterprises" To: [email protected] Sent: Friday, December 14, 2001 6:11 AM Subject: In reference to the file against ABI ABI is a Network Marketing Company, selling business opportunities to Independent Contractors who work under their frachise and licence. They are specifically targeting business-minded entrepreneurs and have no intentions to "mislead" other than to make the opportunity appear lucrative (and it truly is!). Having said that, it would be wise to mention that in every aspect of advertising, you will find that the postive points of a product is accentuated more often than the negative. I dont mean to go off topic, but let's look at an example, say birth control pills... their ads are excellent and they certainly know how to portray an excellent product, however, when you flip to the other page, you will find a full page in small print how hazardous the product is for your health (long term and short term). The same goes for all cigarette ads. Isn't this contradicting and misleading in that sense? How does ABI's advertising differ? Well first of all, they don't intend to kill anyone to make a profit. Their product is harmless and they have no intentions to rip anyone off, other than to help them gain knowledge in the free enterprise of the network marketing industry- Knowledge is, afterall, power. This is backed up their strong refund policy as well as the customer support phone line and email correspondents. In fact, I'd say that many ABI participants are completely satisfied with what they receive. As in any types of business, there will always be that small fraction of pesky annoying customers who complain and are never quite satisfied with anything. Like the other products mentioned, they do have a legal disclaimer, which the customer must make aware of, that describes in detail what the program is about. "Caveat Emptor"- Let The Buyer Beware. There are scams out there, such as telemarketing, but I don't believe this program is one of them. No one is being put at gun point, pressured, or threatened to make the purchase. ABI is selling a business concept and for that reason, cannot reveal the plan to its entirety. Any one who registers for the program receives a tangible product, a business opportunity, plus several software programs with complete re-sell rights. If you take the delight in screwing people over, then all the power to you. Bottomline: Money does not fall from the sky and land magically on your lap. QUIT COMPLAINING AND WORK FOR IT!
