I was comparative shopping for handicap conversion vans from Braun Corp. We planned to move to Seattle, WA during the summer and I made the mistake of mentioning this to Absolute Mobility Center's sales rep, Chuck. When comparing their prices to those of their competitors within the same region I noticed that on average there was a 33% mark up of their in house installed parts. When I pointed this out they insisted their parts were superior to their competitors. When I asked them for the manufacturer and part numbers so that I could verify their claims with an outside source they refused to acknowledge the request and went to great lengths to avoid it. Instead I was promptly informed, although it felt more like being threatened, that if I did not purchase from them that they would not honor the Braun Corp warranty on the van. This is something I am told by Braun would be in violation of their licensing agreement. When I informed them of this I received an irate email from the business owner, Eddie Riviera, who still refused me the manufacture and part numbers that could help verify their claims. He then attempted another scare tactic by saying and I quote "We will not service any vehicle not purchased from our company. When your cheap van breaks down in the middle of the night and you're stranded who are you going to call for help? If you purchase from us you will be given our owners private cell phone number so you can get the help you need day or night. It pains me to think that these methods of aggressive sales are used to prey upon the already emotionally distraught individual just looking to regain a part of their freedom. Anyone who has purchased a converted van before knows it can be a serious emotional and financial drain without the unnecessary inflated prices that Absolute Mobility Center justifies by scaring you into thinking you are unsafe to buy from anyone else.

Very Supportive Experience with Absolute Mobility

I have purchased three mobility vans from Absolute Mobility in the past 16 years. My experience with Eddie Riveria and his wife Amanda and the staff has been nothing but superior in  every way.  I have had his personal attention each time a new modification needed to be made or adjusted due to a change in my daughters wheelchair needs.  He and his wife have altered their weekend schedules to accomodate my needs in emergent situations to meet me and assure that my vehicle is always safe and available for our transportation requirements.  I have been lapse in calling ahead for appointments and that has never, not once in 16 years, been an issue, I come in the door and he makes sure I get whatever I need taken care of immediately.  When Eddie talks about service, he underestimates what he is able and unswervingly delivers.  This is a family run business who believes in providing services to families.  He has never "scared" me into any purchases, has referred me to other service providers in the area when it has been necessary and has always treated me and my child with respect and honesty.
