Accent Housing, Emil Sultanov, Accent Housing, Emil Sultanov, Christina Kirakossian Corporate Housing company says urine soaked mattresses are normal wear and tear. Blames it on them being from India San Diego California
I rented my loft to Emil Sultanov (Accent Housing) for 43 days recently. The unit was returned to me a mess with over 1000.00 worth of damage, a 351.00 electric bill, 400.00 in unpaid rent, 200.00 in carpet and mattress cleaning and another 150.00 in unpaid cleaning services. Based on the pictures I provided them upon moveout it is obvious little was done. My wife and I spent 4 hours recleaning the unit for the next tenant. When notifiying Accent Housing about the dirty condition of the unit weeks ago, (I was in the unit replacing light bulbs and repairing a door they broke), their company's position was, "They are from India, what do you expect? Their money is green." When I said to them that my sister in law was from India, the response was, "She's not that kind of Indian." He assured me a security deposit would still be sent (never was) and also stated that everything would be restored back to normal (it wasnt). Including cleaning of all rugs as a baby was observed playing upon it with no clothing. (The probable cause of the urine damage to the mattresses as well.)
Accent Housing also failed to meet us at the unit for a walkthrough upon checkout. I left at least 10 messages explaining my displeasure of how the unit was left and received no return phone call until Monday morning. I find that a strange and unprofessional way to conduct business.
The cleaning crew that supposedly had gone into the unit prior to us arriving hardly cleaned. They put wet sheets back on all the beds. Tried to hide a urine stain on the couch with a tucked in blanket. The stove top finish was permanantly damaged. As was a desk that had multiple burns and a large water glass stain. (All normal wear and tear per Accent Housing). Their was gooey sesame seeds littered throughout the cabinets as well as an orange sticky substance all over the refridgerator. 90% of all the furniture in the unit was brand new. Even after having the mattresses professionaly cleaned, their are still giant urine stains on them they cant be removed.
When trying to collect the final invoice. Accent Housing's final position was to offer me 500.00. 291.00 of which was from a 351.00 electric bill. All during the 43 days stayed in my unit. Their position was, all of the broken or damaged items is normal wear and tear and that this is a painful and expensive lesson. That I should know better next time. They operate out of their home and actively solicit HR departments to seek housing for foreign workers. They are no longer returning emails or phone calls after many attempts to collect the final invoice.
If you are an HR department, be warned they they fail to abide by their contractual obligations. If you are a tenant and foreign worker, their prejeduce to people from foreign countries is obvious as they blamed the damage of the unit because the tenants were from India and not because they were just messy people. If you are an unsuspecting property owner and are thinking about renting out your property to them, dont. Not unless you recieve a huge security deposit.

Hello, My name is Saravana Kumar and I am a long time client of Accent Corporate Housing. I found this review while searching for Accent's contact information as I have an associate that will need housing in this upcoming month. I find these accusations very hurtful. I have been doing business with Emil Sultanov, Christina Kirakossian and everyone else on the Accent Corporate Housing team for two and a half years. My company contracts with San Diego Gas and Electric, whom only does business with reputable companies. Actually we ourselves have an extensive screening process of partners and associates. My company is based out of New Delhi, India, each and everyone one of my associates is Indian and it was very disappointing to read lies about a company whose owner I now know personally. Who goes the extra step to stock our refrigerators at arrival, who I dearly respect and give examples of. Each and every one of Accent's properties my company has rented in San Diego, California has been immaculate. I mean clean, we are very picky with our properties and after trying many other providers and San Diego, we found Accent to simply be the best overall. Accent Corporate Housing does not operate from home as stated in this outrageous review, it operates out of an office off Aero Drive and has a strong corporate umbrella; I have been to their location multiple times after arrival. I am greeted by Emil or one of his associates each time I am in San Diego. They have a meet and greet service and meet us in the middle of the night at apartment all around San Diego and Los Angeles so to read that they simply did not reply at one point is completely outrageous. Me being from India, I was really upset after I read this review. I contacted Emil Sultanov and told him to reference this; he was surprised to hear that someone would go to this length with false accusations of this sort. He explained that Accent Corporate Housing will provide a lengthy list of references, which will also include my name and the name of my company to any prospect with any sort of concern. If you wish to do business with Accent Corporate Housing, I, my company and all of our associates will vouch for them. Take it from people that actually did business with Accent and saw what a great rental home should look like and what good customer service is all about. If you read this negative review it is simple and plain to see that it was written with intent to damage the owner's and the company reputation and nothing else.
