I have tried to get phone service through this company, and like comm south, paid my 50 dollar activation fee. They told me that it would take 5-10 buisness days to get a dial tone. They processed my order, and I never got the dial tone. The company even had the audacity to charge me an additional 50 dollars for a transfer fee when they connected the service to the wrong address. I am telling you, stay away from this company, they will cheat you big time.

I AM A CURRENT EMPLOYEE OF ACCUTEL OF TEXAS AND I HAVE BEEN WITH THE COMPANY FOR A FEW YEARS NOW AND I KNOW THAT THERE IS GOING TO ALWAYS BE A DIS SATISFIED CUSTOMER NO MATTER WHAT TYPE OF BUSINESS YOUR IN. AS FAR AS THE MONTHLY CHARGE THAT ARE DISPLAYED IN ADVERTISEMENTS THOSE ARE THE RATES THAT ACCUTEL OF TEXAS CHARGES AND AS IT STATES IN THE ADVERTISEMENT THOSE CHARGES DO NOT INCLUDE TAXES AND FEES. IF THE CUSTOMER WANTS THE EXACT TOTAL OF THAT SERVICE THEN IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONSUMER TO QUESTION EACH AND EVERY ASPECT OF THE SERVICE. IF CUSTOMERS WOULD NOT BE SO EAGER TO JUMP THE GUN LOOKING FOR AN EASY WAY OUT AND LISTEN TO THE INFORMATION BEING GIVEN AND ASK QUESTIONS THEN THERE WOULD NOT BE ANY MISUNDERSTANDINGS ABOUT OUR SERVICE AND OUR PROCEDURES. ANYTIME YOUR DEALING IN BUSINESS IT IS ALWAYS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONSUMER TO QUESTION EACH AND EVERY ASPECT OF THE SERVICE UNTIL THEY HAVE A CLEAR UNDERSTANDING. AS FAR AS THE TIME FRAME THAT IT TAKES TO GET SERVICE ACTIVATED SOMETIMES THERE ARE DELAYS BUT THE MAJORITY OF THE DELAYS COULD BE AVOIDED IF THE CUSTOMERS WOULD GIVE THE CORRECT INFORMATION. THE MOST COMMON DELAYS ARE CUSTOMERS NOT INFORMING US THAT THERE PREVIOUS SERVICE WAS RECENTLY DISCONNECTED OR THERE SERVICE IS IN JEOPARDY OF BEING DISCONNECTED. IF WHEN THE CUSTOMERS CALL IN THEY WOULD INFORM US OF THIS INFORMATION THEN WE COULD GIVE THEM A MORE ACCURATE TIME FOR SERVICE ACTIVATION OR INFORM THEM OF WHAT PRECEDURES THEY WOULD NEED TO TAKE IN ORDER TO EFFECTIVELY ACTIVATE THERE SERVICE IN A TIMELY MANNER. IF THEY WOULD BE MORE ACCURATE ABOUT THE ADDRESS INFORMATION THAT WOULD ALSO ALLOW US TO ACTIVATE SERVICE IN A TIMELY FASHION. WE ARE NOT MIND READERS HERE AND IF WE COULD GET MORE ASSISTANCE FROM THE CUSTOMERS WE WOULD NOT HAVE SO MANY DELAYS IN ACTIVATION. OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS THE BUSIEST DEPARTMENT HERE. OUR LINES DO NOT RING BUSY WHEN YOU CALL. YOU MAY BE ON HOLD LONGER THAN YOU ANTICIPATE BUT WE ANSWER THOSE CALLS IN THE ORDER THAT THEY COME IN. SO IF YOU CALL AND HOLD FOR A FEW MINUTES THEN HANG UP YOUR ONLY PUTTING YOURSELF AT THE END OF THE LINE. WE HAVE A LARGE CLIENTELE AND WE TRY TO EFFECTIVELY AND EFFIECIENTLY HANDLE ALL CUSTOMER CONCERNS AND ISSUES ASAP.

Fired for others mistakes

Today is Mar. 7th, 2002. 2 Days ago I was fired from Accutel of Texas for the alligation that I was connecting people and disconnecting people w/o an order to do so.

I am a very honest and hard working employee. I worked overtime when they wanted me to. They fired someone before me for connecting people for free. Then the fire me for same thing.

The other person admitted to doing that. So they automaticly assumed that I was doing it to from an investigation they did on my log in.

The problem is that the supervisors at that company let other reps borrow logins from others incase they had loggin lockouts. (security purposes) Someone else might have borrowed my password to connect somebodys service for free. I've been fired for it even though it was a supervisors fault.

When I was getting fired the HR person at Accutel of Texas said she wasn't going to argue with me on the situation and if I wanted to take it up with someone, there was other means of doing so. Well, this is a start... I don't know if I'll sue or not but, just letting you know how they run business.
