This company advertises in thousands of newspapers across the country. The ads state; "Fun Travel Job, Paid Training, Young people needed, Paid Transportation and lodging. Call ACE Inc."

When you call the number, a "manager" will return your call to "interview" you. He tells everyone the same exact thing: 'You sound sharp. We really need a motivated and wonderful person like you!'

By then they have built up your ego to make you feel perfect for the job. They then convince you to buy a ticket to whatever location the sales crew is at. Sometimes they even go as far as to offer to pay for the ticket to make you feel wanted.

When you arrive they try to butter you up some more with parties and drugs. They are preying on the fact that you are young and probably in a bad home situation. They tell you stories of riches and fame. They talk about famous stars starting out the same way.In my case it was Jim Carrey. (false claim)

In a few days things change fast. They throw you in a neighborhood in the middle of nowhere, and tell you to meet thier qouta or they will "break your face." With no training you are expected to sell an over-priced magazine subscription to people that have three or four people try the same thing each year. I was shot at, detained by police twice, and chased by a large number of dogs. Definitely not the fun job they described.

When I told them this job probably isn't for me, they pulled out a gun and told me to get my stuff packed because there is no room for a negative thinker. They told me to get into the van.

At this time I thought I was about to die. They stopped at a payphone, and threw my stuff out and told me to get out. They said 'you can find a way home punk. This isn't a travel agency." They sped off, leaving me stranded two thousand miles from home.

Don't fall for this scam. It's slave labor. the so-called "paid training" is 10 dollars a day for 17-20 hours of work per day. You never sign a contract or job application let alone tax papers, so you are pretty much a slave. There are alot of young kids trapped in these things.

I knew of someone that was working in this co. No names are mentioned.

But I do know however this person is a honest christian person as does not lie. It starts off with parties and drugs fun makes you feel like this job is for you. But in a few days things change quickly! Also CARLA FARELL seems nice to talk to but she is a crook with the rest of them! She buys your ticket there, but she turned on this person along with WILL got in the face of this child screaming and yelling and threatned to kill if they left!  He was cenimeters from punching them. This child cried for hours afraid that they were going to die. If there was a way I would have a law suit against him! He moves around too much to get caught!!

He/she was working for this co. and the Owner WILL FERELL, tells them what they want to hear boost up their confidence to be a salesperson for selling their magazines. They are taught to do whatever it takes to sell a magazine. Even lying to the costomer. They are dropped of in neighborhoods they know nothing about them. Comes back few hours later. Even when selling is prohibited. They do not care. They even have drops at night in random neighborhoods at night. Cops are always involved. If they do not make sales the owner WILL FERELL gets angry hits them and in this case left 2 people and took off to another city. These kids did not have any money and no where to go. Who would do that? He put them in a van and does not tell them where they are going, and drops them off and forgets about them. It happened to my child but at least He/She had luggage with them.

And also they do drugs no lie. There is no video to prove the behavior of this company, but I know and others know. And when the timing is right I hope this person gets what he deserves before someone gets killed.

God is my only true witness!

I was an employee with ACE for Will Ferrell (now a manager) at the time Hank was recruited by ACE. Not one statement reported is true. Other than the fact thst Hank did not sign a contract, as ther is no reason for a contract until after a sales agent has succussfully completed a training program. After reading Hank's complaints, logic alone would tell anyone that they are nothing more than wild tales. ACE pays all agents in training atleast $150 per week as well as hotel and transportation are paid.Further, as this is a door to door sales job how could it be possible to go door to door 17-20 hours a day? I know as a fact that Mr. Ferrell has a zero tolarence for any drug use.Hank claims to have been detained by police twice so had this been a scam as he claims why wouldn't he have filed a report with the police as well as why would he not have called the police if his manager had pulled a gun on him? Hank was not abandoned. Hank left ACE in the middle of the night, after two days of training, without notifying anyone of his departure. It appears that rather than admitting he was unable to perform this job it was less devastating to his ego to go back to Iowa with wild tales.
