Ace Motor Co. $5000 ripoff Worth of Missing Parts, Damage and Repairs Fort Worth Texas
I bought a 2000 Firebird TransAm WS6 on EBAY auction item #2435237511 for $14,100. This car would not pass a State inspection in Massachusetts. With all the missing and damaged pieces, I am sure that it would not pass in Texas either. His glowing descriptions are not justifiable given all the missing parts, broken items and non-functional pieces of the car which the dealer, Ricky Smith Pontiac-GMC identified as a REPOSSESSED car.
The key to this purchase were the glowing comments on the condition and drivability of this car. He certainly convinced me that he was selling a premiere, pristine Firebird, which is obviously not the case.
My expenses not including maintenance are as follows:
What is NOT Maintenance Amount Reason Jack Assembly , Handle and Hold Down 151.00 All this was missing; even used cars come with this -- Set of Keys, with Remote for Factory Alarm 115.00 Advertised the Security system.
Without the remote FOB, there is NO security system! --
Catalytic Converter (Check Engine Light On) 525.00 The "Check Engine" light is on continuously. Item is dented and non-functional; you must disclose this -- Both 3rd Brake Light Bulbs 15.00
Could not pass Inspection (in Texas or Mass.) --
Horn Inop 60.00
Could not pass Inspection (in Texas or Mass.) -- Front Brake Replacement and Rotor Resurface 275.00 --Right Front Wheel Bearing Assembly 355.00
Clasified as maint. by me but does not conform to the EBAY Item Description -- Wheel Stud, Lug Nut, and Replace Wheel Locks (no LUG Key) 40.00 --
Did not indicate that the nut key was missing; no way to remove wheels! -- Rear Brake Rotors 440.00 -- Left Front and Right Rear Rims (Bent) 240.00 Advertised Feature is not a feature when bent -- Exhaust System from Y-Pipe (Hitting Driveshaft and Trunk) 705.00 --
Missing Owner's manual 34.95 Did not indicate that this was missing -- Broken Low beam - driver side 36.75 Could not pass Inspection (in Texas or Mass.) -- Noted on DAS shipping document; Large paint scape on front bumper, paint missing. Got estimate from from 2 shops 956.32 Pre shipping paint damage that was described as inexpensive to fix. -- Air Conditioner does not run 200.00 AC COLD ALL OPTIONS WORK GREAT - NOT when the cable is broken. -- Front Sway Bar Bracket broken & Sway Bar bent 309.24
