Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I was hired by Action Catastrophe in January of 2000 as a Project Manager to manage insurance restoration projects for the company. My friend was also hired in this capacity. We were given a contract that promised us a percentage of every job completed.

We began marketing to various insurance carriers and were very succesful in developing almost one million dollars in revenue within nine months. When it was time to collect our money, the owners Scott Peffer and Rick Arndt said that they needed to pay off some back debt and wold pay us the next month. In this time, I was able to sell an $800,000 fire at a local Denver High School.

The profit margin was 80% and when the money was collected, we were again promised our comission. It never happened. Again, the owners said they had no money. We decided to leave the company and start our own. When we began talking with past clients in an attempt to gain their business, we found that estimates we sent to carriers that we remembered being around $10,000 were actually sent in at about $35,000.

No wonder we never got the work! Three of these clients actually called the office and spoke with the owners, who blamed their "new estimators" and their lack of experience. Later we found out from the office manager who also quit, that Scott Peffer and Rick Arndt would take our estimates and fraudently inflate them in an effort to make more money for themselves. This is a complete lie and is fraud to the insurance industry, and wrong to blame us.

We are now doing more business for ourselves, and with accurate estimates. However, when we attempted to sue Action Catastrophe to inforce our "contract" we found out that we were the 28th person who they had done this to!

Additionally, all of their assets are in their wives and family names, and can not be liquidated as part of a settlement. And, we wold be the 48th creditor who they owed money to! Needless to say, we are happy to be gone, but hope the rest of the world will learn from our experiences.

Dont work for them, and defenitly dont let them estimate damage to your insurance company because your premiums will skyrocket in order to fulfill their bogus estimates. Action Catastrophe also opperates under the names of Action Drying, and The Drying Company!
