Ad.Center.Com is based in Montreal and the 'founding father' of it is Philip Keezer who now runs Playster.

Playster was originally JoMedia.

JoMedia, Ad.Center.Com and Playster all have one thing in common - namely that between them they are responsible for many thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of bogus and fake websites promoting PDF downloads of books that do not exist.

In a variation of the Usenet.Nl scam (well documented on the internet, just search for them), Ad-Center.Com basically generate vast numbers of highly SEO optimized websites that scrape descriptions of images and books, making them into webpages, and adding PDF download buttons.

The idea is that you are led into believing that if you sign up for a free trial with Playster or Geeker (a cheap imitation) you can download the PDF in question.

Here the scam is proved.

1. Google any book and add PDF, for example 'The Deep Truth about Marriage PDF'

2. Search results will be riddled with PDF adverts and sites like this (one of thousands created by the scam):-

http://swiftbooks.biz/

3. The site shows PDF download buttons.

4. Click one and in this case one finds a Geeker registration page

geeker.com/signup?ad_domain=hlok.qertewrt.com&ad_path=%2Fsmart_ad%2Fdisplay&prod=2&ref=5027433&placement=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ws2real.com%2FbdLR&sf=&utm_source=www.ws2real.com&utm_medium=referral&adserver=0.20.5&m=books&lid=2a9d7696-e897-46cf-aca3-a790de63ad6a&_sign=0df1696e4503dfefd16293937d4b5fe6&_signt=1488028800&lng=NL

(its an affiliate link with a tracker) It will NOT give you the books in PDF form.

Signing up is ill advised as there are many Geeker complaints:-

https://repdigger.com/reviews/geeker-com

They have 162 scam complaints and only 14 good reviews. The reputation score is 1% and the page above shows many complaints of credit card scams and impossibility of cancelling.

5. On the Geeker page, scroll down to bottom and you see a Wemasters button.

6. Clicking that takes one to Ad.center.com, created by Philip Keezer who now runs Playster, who also run many similar PDF ads, deceiving people into sign ups.

Proof is in the screenshots which also show the relationship between Philip Keezer, JoMedia, Playster and Ad-Center.Com, and Geeker.Com. There are also fraud reviews written by employees, also in Montreal.

I was incorrect that the individuals and companies named were responsible for hosting the complained of material. In fact, it was hosted by third party sites that the mentioned companies have no control over.

Thus the report should be deemed to be based on incorrect information and no reliance should be placed on it.
