You are absolutely right about these hotlines. Makes me think of the movie Boiler Room. Its disgusting. Liveperson is a chat thing so you dont actually speak to the psychic, its all online. I had no idea about ROR when I started, I stumbled on it quite recently. What makes LP seem legit are the reviews - they are very real if you have ever read them clients are the ones who rate & review & some are very credible..so you would think. Thats what sucked me in. The reviews. I didnt go for the spells/magic thing I dont believe that. Also I kept my sessions short, so there was some method to the madness!lol They also dont ask you questions, this is the new & more evolved sort of hotline, cleverly masked with a false sense of trust & credibility. I would never call the phone ones you see advertised in the women's magazines. Notice they are only in women's mags & not mens mags like Sports Illustrated, GQ etc. Its obvious they target women. Their market is women, although some men go there too.. Its just sick I've read some reviews where there are people asking about their deceased father or mother & how can they lie to people who are suffering like that? Yes I guess if there are serial killers & dark hearted folks in the world, then am not surprised that scammers can lie & con their way through life. It must stop, goodness must prevail!!

You don't KNOW that theses people are PSYCHICS! This includes the classified ads in the Tabloids that have the 1-800 and the other toll free numbers that purport to offer FREE QUESTIONS from PSYCHIC, INDIAN, EGYPTIAN READERS and they have someone's name there which might be similar to some celebrity's name and will keep changing when authorities receive enough complaints. They just change the name and the toll free number and keep on LYING to people and conning money from them. BECAUSE THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT HOW THEY CAN GET MONEY OUT OF YOU! Magic spells for the most part are NOT WHAT PSYCHICS AND THE PEOPLE ON THE 1-800 NUMBERS or 1-900 ( CHARGE YOU RIGHT THERE) or the 1-866 or other toll-free numbers are capable of doing no matter what they promise you. THESE PEOPLE LIE TO YOU AND WILL TELL YOU ANYTHING JUST TO GET YOUR MONEY. HOW THE BASIC HOTLINE SCAM WORKS THE TELEPHONE PSYCHIC SCAM WORKS LIKE THIS, BASICALLY WITH SOME VARIATIONS : The people who SEEM to fall for this are basically women and young persons are curious about the occult, believe in magic ( and the fairy tell happy ending) feel powerless and want to gain some control over an uncertain and sometimes scary future, are LONELY with no friends to talk to,naive, curiosity,and they are looking for excitement in their life, something different from a dull routine basically... What happens is there is a broiler room or the calls to the "psychic hotlines" are routed to the phones of the independent contractors who take those calls from their trailer park homes, apartments, wherever they happen to be. Their training consists of a script which is the SAME for the people who call them only differing in the age and gender of the customers who call. Basically the topics are limited to financial questions and questions about true love so there are emphasis on those two topics. I read about people complaining that all of the advice is the same or they might have requested that a friend call and they find that the advice is the same for every caller. WELCOME TO THE BASIC SCAM. These questions are all designed to get the person talking about themselves, their hopes, their dreams and their future while the TAXI METER IS RUNNING AND THE BASIC FREE MINUTES START TO ADD UP. IT IS NOT UNLIKE PUSHING DRUGS BECAUSE THE WORDS, LIKE THE DOPE, MAKE YOUR WORLD A VERY PLEASANT PLACE AND YOU ARE ESCAPING REALITY BUT JUST LIKE YOU HAVE TO CRASH SINCE YOU CAN'T STAY HIGH FOREVER, THE SAME THING WITH THE FAKE PSYCHIC HOTLINES, IF YOU WANT THE ESCAPE AND THE GOOD FEELINGS TO CONTINUE, YOU HAVE TO PAY TO PLAY -- OTHERWISE, YOU ARE CUT OFF.
