ADT SECURITY SERVICES ripoff ADT has risen my monthly rate twice in last year rate I agreed to of 34.99 is still advertised weekly Aurora Colorado
I was robbed at my house. I bought a security system as a deal that I signed a 3 year agreement thru ADT Security systems. Unfortunately I was robbed again this time I inquired into ADT's guarantee that if you were robbed with their system installed and monitered that they would pay back $500.00, upon getting the run around they finally gave me $250.00 saying i was late claiming my money within the time frame beleive me I sent every thing but not late. Tired of arguing I took the money. Subseqently as stated prior my rates have gone up twice, so I called the co. and asked and was told "read the fine print on the back of the contract and you'll see that we have the right to increase monthly charges" naturally the words were a light grey color on the yellow contract so visibility was difficult so once again all I could say was OK thanks a lot.
The problem is that they still advertise at my beginning rate but apparantly can raise it anytime they want. Mind you if I sign a contract with one of my clients I certainly would honor my given price for the length of the contract.
