Advanced Auto Performance ripoff Lowell, MA
In this place (Advanced Auto Performance in Lowell, Massachusetts). I took my car to change my alternator after I bought a new one directly from the dealer.
The owner told me he would change it, charge me $70 dollars an hour and I asked for the old alternator so I can get my deposit back when I give it to the dealer.
First of all, they charge me for 3 hours of work ($210), even though they only work on the car for less than 2 hours. They didn't refund my money. And it wasn't untill I got to the Nissan Dealer to give the old alternator, the mechanics at the dealer tell me the alternator I have is not from my car but from another Nissan model and is already being rebuilt so they can't refund my deposit.
When I go back to the place to ask for my real alternator, they claim that is the right part. I lost over $400 dollars (work + new alternator). I recommend for you reader to think twice before going into Advanced Auto Performance, because they will "advanced" very quickly to take your money.
