Advantage America, Government Grant Services scam ripoff Winter Park Florida
Regretably this company is still in business - they now identify themselves as Government Grant Services or similar. It appears that +001819 (the number many people are being called by) is not actually a country code but is produced by using VOIP (telephone calls which go over the internet) - this not only masks their origin but also cuts on long distance costs for these hell-bound individuals. They may be based in Florida but the calls apparently are sometimes linked to an operation based in the Caribbean somewhere (Nassau maybe) which explains the thick 'Indian' (probably Caribbean) accent many people report. Incidentally, the long pause before they start speaking further supports the VOIP claim.
While I never gave them my routing number they continuously call me 8 or more times/day. For whatever reason, they always hang up before I answer, so I haven't had the opportunity to explain just how I feel about them....
