Yes, I also received the very same email as Ella:

D M,

"After reviewing your resume we feel as though you fit the criteria we are looking for in a local Account Executive position. We are a Sports Marketing company that works with all the local Schools and Teams in your area. We do all of their published materials including Sports Posters, Game Tickets, Programs, Banners, Websites, Coupon Books, and Schedule Cards; what ever these teams license or contract us out to do for them. D, your job as an account executive would include maintaining relationships with local schools and teams, as well as their sponsors. Sponsors would be businesses such as Bank of America, Pepsi-Cola, AT&T Wireless as well as smaller "Mom and Pop" type businesses that support these local teams. The territory is local; about a 60 miles radius around the city and it is established so one would take over existing accounts --But, of course we are always looking to grow, so business development is fundamental to the position. We do have a base salary plus commission structure, with medical benefits and a retirement plan. So D, if this interests you please call us (do not email we have already reviewed your resume) to get more detailed information and possibly set up an interview.

Thanks, Ms. Linsey Beford Regional Manager of Advantage Promotions 888-265-1680"

Yes, I was also very excited. They had read my resume and I qualified!!! What a pile of junk! I did not get as far as attending an interview, though...thank God. But the real kicker of my story was when I did call the number, this so called Linsey Beford (of course did not pick up my call) had a message saying that "if you are calling for employment, please, do not leave a message, I do not check my messages often, but if you are a client, please leave a message and I will get back to you shortly". Now, when I heard this asinine message I was completely perplexed. I was just thinking what most of you are right now...."hmmm....does this woman really think before she speaks? Obviously not" Besides, her voice is just horrifying, unprofessional. Now remember, the email above said not to email back, so now what the heck do I do?? Well, I called again and left a voicemail, followed by an email.

I really wish everyone much luck on their new career search, but please, keep your eyes open for companies like this one.
