I had purchased services from Aemidio in February, 2013, so I was not forwarned. I contacted services for support for my Linksys router. This group posed as Cisco tech support. The American named men did have Indian accents, but I wasn't sure if Cisco was using overseas tech support as so many companies are. They sold me a tech support package, with it being cheaper to purchase a several year package in the long run. They worked many hours to get my router up and running, and ran a scan to clean up viruses. In that process they convinced me that my virus scan was not working and they had another program that would work better. I asked for a detailed invoice stating the services purchased several times and they only gave me a copy of my paypal receipt for payment. They erased my Adobe Illustrator in the process to increase my computer speed and loaded the virus program. They sold a multiple year package as it would be cheaper. I again asked several times for a detailed sales invoice for services purchased and I never received one. I recontacted them to reload my Adobe Illustrator and they were unable to do this. Several months later I got a message from AVG that I did not have a license number to run their internet security program.
I contacted Aemdio and they said "their license numbers were different that AVG's and my computer was not compatible with AVG and they needed to reload a different virus scan program". I told them that sounded fishy to me. I contacted AVG and Aemidio is not a licensed distributor and they do not sell a three year internet security program. Aemdio said that their price was different as they added different services onto the virus scan program. That again did not fit as I had already paid for a 3 year tech support contract so that did not make sense. I then contacted Aemidio and said that I wanted my money back for the security program as I suspected fraud. I also said that I would contact American Express and they could work with them on the credit. They agree to refund the security program cost. It took about 6 weeks for it to come through as they would always have some kind of reasoning, usually being someone elses fault. In the end there were no records stating what services I had actually purchased, and were therefore up for debate. I am trying to get some money back from my three year tech support services, but again there is no paperwork on what I purchased,i am looking for my money back but they not giving response at all.
