AIG-American Int'l South Ins Co Hit by their client company not readily paying claim ripoff King Of Prussia Pennsylvania
It has been over a month now since I was hit by a person insured by AIG insurance.
The woman ran a red light and hit my drivers door. First she got out of her car and said I only had a few scratches (their appraisal was for $863.00) and she claimed the light never turned yellow and went from green to red. The light was working just fine! I had a witness who stated that she watched this woman drive right through the red light. The woman was issued a citation for a red light violation as a result.
However when it came to giving a police officer her side of the story, she said I just pulled right out in front of her, with no mention of the alleged light malfunction.
I was the one who called AIG to open a claim for them to repair my car since I do not have collision on my car. Their client never called them to report the accident! They also called me 2 days later and asked if I had a phone number for their client since they were not able to reach her at the number they had.
Bottom line is that their client has lied about the whole incident and insists it wasn't her fault (even though she was cited). So naturally, they are choosing to believe her and I still not have received a check to have my car repaired.
All I want is to have my car repaired!
I did inform them that I am filing a complaint with the State Insurance Department over this incident. The emails that I sent took 2 days to be responded to and not all the emails were even answered. The first letter that I received from them had a totally wrong last name on it and they claimed to have sent a second letter which I have never received.
I can't believe how I am being jerked around when all the facts are pointing to their client being in the wrong!
