air duct master over charged and ripped me of clawson, Michigan
The company was called to repair my A/C unit and the repair person spent ten minutes diagnosing the problem (which turned to be disconnected wires).He informed me I'll be charged for the check up and on hourly rate which I agreed to. During the process he suggested replacing a part that he claimed is better than the old one and it will be free and there is no charge for it. After one hour and 20 minutes he was done and brought the bill in which he asked for $200 for the part plus the check up and the time he spent. He also insisted on check or cash payment and wanted to charge me extra %6 for credit card payment. When I checked with manufacture about the part price it turned to be $15.55 only. I called the company and emailed them multiple times and they were avoiding me and making excuses. After multiple attempts to speak to the manager and explaining my dissatisfaction with over charge the manager agreed to refund $50 only which I refused.!!! To charge $200 for a part that's worth 15.55 is big rip off.
