Akai Professional Numark, Alesis and Akai.. mpc ....Akai sells a product with cheap parts, and when they fail you can not get parts cause they are on back order for half a year. but the product is still being produced!!! cumberland, Rhode Island

Numark bought Akai, Akai makes the mpc. I own a mpc1000, the mpc1000 is still being made to this day by Akai/Numark. So why cant I get parts for it?? ive got an older model mpc1000, the pad design was flawed, my pads are going out. Akai designed a pad upgrade for their faulty pads which is 200.00, but guess what? out of stock, and its been out of stock for months!! also, the tact switches on a pcb board inside my mpc are going out, so i tried to order a new one, no such luck. that pcb board has been out of stock for over 6months!!!!! WTF!! the mpc1000 is still being manufactured as I type this. so if they are still being made, that means parts are still being made. Why the hell cant I get my parts??? the mpc1000 is selling for 999.00. I almost think this is a way to make people have to buy another mpc when a $30.00 part goes out. I would beware of this company.
