I opened the salon 5 years ago and decided to go with AKNAF Salon software because it was cheap and I had a limited budget. A couple of weeks after I installed it on my one computer at the front desk, I bought 2 more computers and wanted to install them there as well. I was informed I had to pay for an upgrade AND for the extra computers (around $600). Fine, paid it, installed it and database is on a Network server. After a year, I have a problem that I can't fix so I call them; they reply, "We can't help you because you didn't purchase technical support". Fine, I paid around $250 for 12 months of support which includes all software upgrades (there were 4 upgrades that year but I never saw a single one of them).

Another 12 months goes by and I have another problem so I call... A guy answers and he sounded a little annoyed that I was calling at 4:30 on a weekday. He looks up my account and says I need to pay (so I did) then he asks how many PCs I have and I tell him 3. He claims his records show us as only paying for one, so he calls me a lying thief and hangs up on me. I start to investigate other softwares to replace AKNAF but the database format this "company" uses is unlike any other and we can't easily migrate the information over. I can't afford to manually move all clients, standing appointments, inventory, financial, payroll, historical data, etc... so I figure I will just hope nothing else goes wrong.

Last week... something went wrong :( My wife called and a man answered. She explained she needed support and he tells her that she didn't purchase the support so she says, "I want to buy 1 year of support." His response to my wife...."Listen lady, it's 4:50 on a Friday and I'm getting out of here. Call next week and talk to somebody who cares." My wife asked for his name and he says, Mome of your business you whiny b****." and hangs up on her.

This company has no right being in business. Customers put their trust into them and have their entire business database locked up in their software and if something ever happened, they would lose everything they have.
