Akvatek Ind. Walk In Coolers Alex at akvatek rip-off! Miami Florida
I am a Veterans of foreign wars rep. for the Springfield, Vt.VFW post 771. In early april I ordered a walk in cooler for our post. I was dealing with Manie at the company and was told it would take 4 weeks after 1/2 of the price of $4,800.00 total to get the unit made. Then after the ballance was paid it would be shipped.
We did all that and after 3 months of calling several times aweek to see when the unit was going to be shipped and after calling the AJ of florida, the BBB, and federal consumer groups we recieved the unit.
The unit Arived with all but 3 panels damaged. We refused shipment and sent it back to akvatek. I called the company and was handed off to Alex the head boss of the company (said to me by him after wanting to talk to his boss)he was very rude and would not help.
After a couple more months in sep. the new unit arived with six more panels damaged and we sent them back to the company after talking to Alex. We also had to pay another c.o.d. shipping charge or the unit could not be taken off the truck.
So now it is early Dec. and still the last six panels have not been shipped. I have called Alex several times aweek to see when we would get our six panels and all i get is call me back all the time.
Get this the trucking companies destroyed those panels and yet Akvatek keeps making us pay for the shipping each time. This cost should not be paid by us. Alex at Akvatec still will not tell the truth, and this company sells millions of dollars of equipment to the active military!
Hear we are a non proffit Veterans Group getting taken by this lying,cheating,no-good company. I will never tell anyone ever to do anything with this company what so ever! We have told all the Veterans groups not to do anything with this company and Alex who cheats the little guy!

As of Jan. 4th 2005 I called Alex at the company and we resoved this situation. Alex was very respectfull and I commend his efforts to help and complete our order. We understand that there was a mix-up with the shipping company and alex had a great solution for both parties involved. I sent an e-mail to rip-off.com to have my complaint removed and have this update posted. Again I wanted thank Alex Victoro for his understanding with the VFW and we look forward to receiving our new panels and refrigerator unit next week.
