Albertsons - Osco RIPOFF unlawful termination, discrimination, harassment, employee abuse, loss prevention threats Charleston Illinois
After almost 5 years at Osco, with no write ups/discipline against me, I was fired. Why? IT started when I became pregnant. My Pharmacy manager said " you go take your little [maternity] leave, and just leave all the rest of us screwed!" I had given them 8 months notice, telling them when I was only 4 weeks along. I had my baby 1 month premature, and was accused by my pharmacy manager of knowing this was going to happen and not telling anyone. After returning from my leave, my husband became very ill and required 5 surgeries over 7 months . Under company policy, as a full time employee, days that he had surgery should have been paid. OH NO! Not only were they not paid I was told that when I took time off to take care of sick family it makes my co-workers feel "pissed on". I called my manager from the emergecny room, unsure if my hubby was going to live through the night, to get a " AHH, so you aren't going to be in tomorrow?"
Well, the relationship only got worse. Then, my manager did not report a misfil with ingestion. I thought this shou;d be reported ASAP. I did so using the company employee hotline. When she got called and asked about it, she became irate. She pulled all of my co-workers involved out of the pharmacy and confronted them, until she determined it was me that reported her. Two weeks later, she accused me of stealing a $5.00 prescription.I was let go, only after a 2 hour interogation by loss prevention.
