The following is a verbatim report of my communications with Jack Rice, owner of Alien Paintball.

On June 15th, I called Jack Rice and asked if he would third party on a gun he was currently holding. That is, the original gun owner sent the gun in for repair and would be giving Jack whatever authorization he demanded to have the gun shipped to me. Jack obliged but said payment was still due on the gun.

I received payment confirmation from the owner a couple days later, traded my gun and was copied on the email he sent Jack. Jack confirmed receipt. I followed up with a call two days later and asked for a Tracking number. Jack told me there was still work to be done on the gun and that the frame he was milling might be too weak. He told me the go ahead was sent from the owner, but the work he though had been completed had not been. I wasn't too sure why he was giving me this valuable information now and not on the call prior to the trade but I humored his excuse and gave him another 4 work days before calling back. I called back and caught Jack out the door to Chitown. He said the gun had shipped and was looking forward to me receiving it, I again asked for a tracking number and he said "wait let me check to see if it's gone out" the came back and said he couldn't find the tracking number but was 100% sure it had gone out (?). I again made nothing of it, waited a couple days and emailed him as he requested. I received this email from Deb (his wife)

Miguel,

Jack and the Alien team are in Chicago @ PSP this week. But I just checked w/Jack and he said we were waiting for an email from the owner giving us permission to ship the gun to you. To date, no email has been received from the owner giving us this permission.

Under separate cover, I'll send an email request to the owner asking if I can send the gun to you. As soon as we have approval, it'll go out in via USPS Priority Shipping.

Upset about the violent change of story (What? Wait, I have Jack on TAPE saying he sent the gun already) I wrote back threatning to post these outright lies on Pbnation. What transpired left me speechless. Jack called me and actually raised his voice at me stating I intimidated his Wife. Now I've been in Law Enforcement for 8 years and have plenty people get mad at me from time to time. But I've never had a company owner raise their tone at me over my ability to exercise my first amendment rights and post a customer review.

Long story short, and it does get longer and more interesting. Jack finally sent the gun about a month after the owner paid and authorize the send. He failed to send the second grip frame that comes with the gun and has given me an incredible hard time about getting back. Including 8 emails, one titled "We good?" and still no grip frame. I doubt I'll receive it after this but I happen to know something about how third person withholding of private property works in this state.

Regardless of my hobby, occupation and age, I'm amazed that this is the costumer standard this company would lend to anybody. Finally, I show you Jack's wonderful reply to my last email asking for a Tracking number on my missing grip frame.

Yea, my company standard is I don't get in the middle of trades because of this type of thing ... You were the one who presssured me to do the trade and then went ahead and sent your gun before the previous owner and I had finished our business. AND does it realy matter that you don't have the second trigger frame yet? I don't think that I have delayed your trading frames out.

This has been an incredable hassel for me while I am in the midle of getting next years guns out.

I fixed that gun for next to nothing (LIE- HE WAS PAYED $100) and now because of a mix up (NOT SENDING A GUN IN OVER 6 WEEKS)- on my part I will lose more money shipping the grip frame (WOW A WHOLE $8) - understand if this isn't the most important thing I have to do. I will do this after purchased guns are all sent and other repairs - that are in line - are sent out, sorry but paying cuatomers are first. (THE OWNER PAID 100, I BECAME YOUR CUSTOMER WHEN YOU OBLIGED TO SEND. IT'S A PROMISARY NOTE REGARDLESS WHO THE PAYEE IS. EVER HEARD OF A GIFTCARD?)

Could you possibly be a bigger a*s about this, because it doesn't seem possible.

I call this guys house for you - spend days getting the gun right - you have never sent me one dollar and for all of that you are "willing to make a clean slate", not one iota of gratitude. Now you want to "scare" me with subpoena because I don't dance as fast as you feel I should.

Why it it that those who have paid the least seem to want the most

Finish out in court - first you fraud me into work that you don't deserve, then you threaten my wife (I'm in law enforcement and I'll post on the forums), then you slander me on the web and now you want to misuse your power to cause me a lot of inconvience and cost. "To serve and protect"

Somehow I just don't think you're all that proud of yourself - and the way you have handeled this.

The story is there if you read between all the "extra stuff".

He wants me to send an item to him - instead of the owner. He didn't get the item as fast as he wanted. That is all he is saying.

The owner didn't send me a release. He quotes me as 100% sure I had sent it. But he says I wans't even in town.

He calls my wife saying he has tape recordings of me, says he is in law enforcement, and threatens to sue.  Imagine - Threatens my wife, who is answering the phone while I am at a trade show. He calls this his "First amendment Right", but is this not the definition of a coward!

"In Law enforcement"! He works for animal control. Someone in law enforcement would know that taping conversations without permission in California is illegal - so if he did it he is wrong - if he didn't he is just being a Bully.

Again this guy never paid me a dollar. Not a Dollar - not a Dime!  I did him a favor. It turned into a big hassle because the owner of the item wouldn't give me a release. I can't just sent it to him because "he says so".

It seemed like a scam to me. The owner sends it to me. This guy is calling me constantly, but he can't get me something from the owner that it's OK to send it to him. I was the one who finally tracked down the owner and got permission to send the item to this guy.

Instead of a "Thank You" for my efforts I get posts like this. And yes this guy is the biggest a*s I have had to deal with in 7 years of business.

PBNation.com - look in the Alien forum - I have an excellent reputation for customer service.
