All Coast Auto Transport Increased price by $400 after previously negotiating the moving cost Boca Raton, Florida
We negotiated a price (in writing) to move an automobile from South Caroliona to Vermont. One week before the car was to be moved, we received an email with an additional $400.00 (almost double the original estimate) added on. The explanation given was that it was due to the price of gasoline. This was never verbally disclosed to us when we negotiated the price. In addition, the price of gas did not double in three months.
Calling and trying to speak with these idiots is impossible. You can never get past the incompetent receptionist. All the managers are either sick or out of the office. They refused to refund our $200.00 deposit. These folks are crooks, plain and simple. Stay away from these swindlers. I feel sorry for them. Their entire life has probably been spent lying and deceiving others to make a buck. What a way to go through life.

Did you have a chance to review the contract BEFORE payment (deposit) was made? If so were there clauses about price increases? It really sounds like he lowballed you in order to get your 'deposit' which is actually their non-refundable fee. If you didn't get to see the contract beforehand cancel the charge. I'd challenge it with the credit card folks and chances ar ethey already have complaints against this operation.
